I had the exact same problem. The insurance people in my dr's office kept giving me excuse after excuse. I got really frustrated and started bugging them at least once a day. They finally realized I wasn't going to stop bugging them so they finally sent my papers off. -

Oh, I haven't had much acid reflux or dumping...thank goodness!

My first week wasn't so great but it gradually got better and now I am four weeks post op and I feel normal again! I have lost 22 lbs in four weeks! I'm sticking to my diet but I am having a hard time getting in 600 calories because I am never hungry! I call the nut every other day and they are awesome and will help you out. Yes, I do have scars but they are minimal. You will do great!

I had my surgery there on July 30th. It's very nice place but I felt like I didn't get the best care. You definitely need your spouse or a friend there to help you out! I think they were short staffed when I was there so that may have been part of it. Good luck to you!

I think all we have here is a mini gastric bypass support group and it's with the doctor that does it here and they won't let anyone join.

I know! You mention the sleeve in this area and people just get a puzzled look on their face! I would like to find a gastric bypass group here. The only one I have seen is the mini gastric bypass group.

I am 11 days out too and I have taken liquid Benadryl and had no problems.

I'm just telling everyone I had gallbladder surgery if anyone asks. The few people I have told was against it saying I wasn't near big enough. I have high blood pressure and diabetes so I feel like that's a good enough excuse! I'm just looking forward to not taking any more pills!!!! Yay!!!

Thats funny....I was 188 when I went into surgery too! We have a lot in common! This journey is exciting! I know us starting out with a low BMI won't lose as fast but I think we are both doing great!

No mine wasn't open. Did you have your gallbladder out the same time? My doctor said that's part of my pain too. I'm so ready to get to week 3 and start my mushies....I'm jealous

Oh I'm sick of protein shakes too! I'm ready to eat! I still have another week on this liquid diet. I have been having issues with my stomach hurting most of the time and my pcp said its just where he cut through my stomach muscles. I'm ready to feel good again!
