just back from my surgery.....it had to be put off a day since they found some irregularity with my heart,,was tethered to a monitorfor them to make sure it was safe enuff to do......god that dye was disgusting...i dont want anything now, even water!!!!! took the dentist a while to get the dye off today before we made the last part of trip home, saw my dentist in algadones, mexico...had a wonderful experience...everyone at the hospital was professional and great!!!! i opted for hotel...it was excellent...would go there and stay again....the chef was great for those who could eat......i got to have margaritas with andres betancourt....owner of facility....he said i could the night before the surgery so i did....

while its great that you can stay in a hotel for one night at their expense and he can stay with you in the hospital ,..............that's still $4000 more than Dr. Almanza...think i can pay for my own room in hotel for a few nights if i choose that over the recovery house and still save money...a friend had asked why i wasnt going to mexicali....we all had trailors down in baja and traveled thru there on way to san felip so we know how good the medical center is there......have been going to mexico for over 20 yeard for dental service and getting same US meds at 1/2 the copay prices!!!!!! good luck...

hey guys, i just got an email from the lady at Twang with nutritional facts about their products...looks like when we can eat food again they will be a great way to enhance flavor on our chicken and fish dishes!!!!!!!!! go to their website and look...i know it says beer salt but....look beyond for veggies and meat too...i have had some of the samples and look forward to getting them when i can eat again....

several places...but got the lst order from bariatric choice...soups, omelets,cheesecake,sloppy joes, chili etc....

yes i am excited and started early too ...good thing i did cuz last day of school one of my students brought me in a piece of cheese pizza..small...i talked to louise and she said i didnt have to start til that saturday...i am down a little over ten...and have everything on top of my 3 file cabinets in the office....i got a few loose dresses at wally world too in case wanted to go out if feeling ok...i even reodered some of the cheesecake and sloopy joe stuff cuz didnt remember i had ordered ...oh well will eat it...i got the amp 60 at gnc buy one get one 1/2 off still cost almost 90 bucks...was at wally world last night and found 60 gr isolate for about 21 sooooo guess what i am going to do? take that other stuff back when i feel better...its great to know we can pick up those shooters ther too 20 plus gr and 40 plus....i read on this website about the package 6 for 10 dollars of the 20 plus gr.....got the camera and the computer charged...will do a load of wash tonight later...have meeting tomorrow night so...have to have it all in suitcase before go.....since laxitive is tonight hope i will be ok to go to it!!!!!!!! you are where i was last week...too bad we didnt know and could have scheduled together!!!!!!

my friend said if you go to walmart or walgreens you can get some kind of scar medicine to put on it so it doesnt harden....she used it after one had and it made it better but the scar is still there

as the ex ran a small clinic for several years and the hospital in town was small...i am used to less then a 5 star experience...as long as things are up to snuff there isnt any problem...one cant control infections that just happen...like accidents they just do ...happen that is....people just need to be smarter...but guess they enjoy being stupid

red robin offers a bunless burger..all you have to do is ask...they put it in lettuce for the bun...but dont get the bottomless fries!!!!

mine is this saturday...will let you know my take..the ex is going with me and his is a doctor...if there is ANYTHING wrong i will let yoou know, but my take is these people are just unsatisied folk that have nothing else to do...i know how people are and even tho the ex has great bedside manner, am sure there were some that arent pleased with him as well!!! when i talked to louise about the stuff, she told me her favorite one...that they reuse the staples....(.well duh, how do they straighten them out to use again????!!!!) how stupid can they get...oh and the complaint about how many he does a day.....i doubt they know how many most durgeons do a day or they might be surprised!! I am playing by ear like suggested previously.....see how i feel.....if ok might go stay at hotel to be near ex...he can watch but if anything needs immediate attention........recovery house would be best....the beds in recovery ladies, adre not hospital beds so if you are feeling better and want more privacy, the hotel is the way to go, and i hear that the food is good there or you can go to one of many places nearby. if i feel up to it and can get the mini notebook to work down there, will try and post...if not i will when i return but by then boots will be ob her way and can give you all a second recent opinion too

well if you want the cheese cake, buy he bariatric kind and add lemon to it...you can get 7 servings and have all you want then.....i ordered some for variation in diet on ways to get protein,,,,,some days i can have desert and not feel quilty that way

did yougo to TJ for the operation? i am leaving in 2 days...ex is driving me and going along...doc and speaks spanish so can find out everything i need to know from the doctor there

ps torani has loads of sugar free flavoring to add to shakes to make this thing doable for us all!!!!! go to their website and see what they have ...check out the recipes and find the ones we can use...then search for a store near you to purchase...i found one in phoenix where if you bought 6 or more could get for 3.99!!!! been trying out on the post op shakes....peppermint and white chocolate macadamia nut are great.....I have 12 more flavors to try!!!

I am feeling the same way but have been reading reading reading and searching for everything!!!!My surgery is this Saturday and been a long time coming!!! i was in line for by-pass about 10 yrs ago when employer changed carriers and they wouldnt honor the other companies decision....so i went in for the reduction due to sleep apnea, only to have it pulled from thata company when i had gone all the way thru appointments....Last year we found the surgery in Mexico and I just kept putting it off....after a month of only a few hours sleep each night I made up my mind, called and set date within 24 hours of first call....Its something that i know i have to do or i wont be living my life as long as i want.....allrecipes.com and bariatricfoodie.com have some very good high protein recipes.....i am looking forward to trying them out!!! now i search and the main thing i look for is how much protein does it have.....good luck.....

this website has 33 sugar free flavors folks.....but try to find a stor close to you ..you might be able to save money..i think i found a store on that websiti got them for 1/2 the price and ended up going home with 14 of them...they didnt have all but figured i coould spring for the others i wanted..like the cookie dough...these are great in shakes and smoothies...think i found it on the chike.site in their recipe section... and then went looking ...these would be good in the "ice cream" too

this is only one link...there are several sugar free syrups made and they all have recipe section.......folks there are soooooooo many wonderful sugar free flavors you can add to your shakes!!!!!............you have to go thru and find the sugar free ones.... http://www.torani.com/home/recipes i found a store that sells them for 4 a bottle if you buy 6.....smart and final if you have them in your area......i couldnt find the gingerbread or the peppermint paddy...so will have to break down and order them...i got 14 different ones and could have spent more ....thought that would hold me....i used the white chocolate macadamia nut and the peppermint...decided you need more chocolate to taste over the pepperminit.. have been experimenting for preop now and am so glad i found them!!

are there any out there who can tell us about Dr Amanza? my surgery is the 26th and would like to know about his reputation and how some patients have found it with him...any responses would be appreciated from all of us having surgery with him..

what have you heard? i am courious.....where did you find info?
