I consider myself very independent.. but I know sometimes we wish someone would just hold our hand. I'm here for you =) I have my surgery on Monday. I asked for no one to go to the hospital and visit. The only two people I want there is my mom and my older sister. Don't feel bad.. Keep pushing yourself.. Its all worth it and YOU ARE WORTH IT =) <3 YA!!

Well it's almost time for my sleeve. Ive been calm and excited since I started my journey but yesterday a post on this site almost mas my heart stop. I know this is a forum to help out with people's experiences and touching bad th what to expect. I appreciate everyone on here's opinion. I quickly messages two of my closest sleeve pals and they were quick to calm me down and tell me to ask my doctor before jumping to conclusions. I was really shaky and felt horrible for the day. This morning I woke up still shaky. I decided to go to the park and wall it off. I've kept Myself busy and has done the trick except thy the days are flying by. I haven't eaten much and I think it's still the nerves. I don't know how to move on from this. Any suggestions.

It was a post about the sleep study. My pulmonologist offered it but didn't require it for me to be cleared by him. The post mentioned that we can die if we don't get it done. I know that there are always risks when having surgery but I saw my life flash before my eyes. I saw me going into the hospital and not coming out.

I'm self pay and the sleep study was offered but not demanded. Man now you guys made me nervous. I have my last doc appt on Wed. I'm going to ask what he thinks. I have already been cleared by pulmonologist and cardiologist.

Funny-- some chic went to my moms house this past weekend to offer diet supplement HerbalLife. She tried selling it to my mom which is kinda convinced but my mom is 180 lbs then she tried saying that if she would have met me sooner she could have made me lose weight without surgery. Yeah.. Right. I've seen my sister on that supplement as soon as age runs out she gains weight. The good part, she didn't try to convince my mom to get me to stop the surgery. She actually said it would be good for me. That so many that should have the surgery are just scared to do it. I didn't even know this woman. But I think in your case you should stand up to your friend and tell him that you've made up your mind and would like him to encourage you not want to stop you.

I hear ya. I'm on your boat too lol. I'm trying to stay busy. I did t even go out tonight to stay away from the craves lol WE GOT THIS!! 9 more days till Surgery Day!!!

I guys well I dropped 15 lbs that was required by the nutritionist for the surgery cleared on 5/10. My coordinator took 10 days before ahe gave me my surgery date (6/4) bu the time I started my liquid diet 5/21 I had gone up 5 lbs. I've lost 3 of those five already and hopefully the rest by 5/30 my last doc visit before surgery. My question is, did anyone lose and then gain back a few before surgery? Did the doctor still do the surgery? I'm also spotting right now hoping to finish my monthly before my surgery.

I'm weighing in tomorrow to see I the all liquid thing works because if I at least lost one pound I'm continuing till my surgery date

I was a 1-3 cigarettes a day and not a seven days a week smoker. I k ow it doesn't make a difference it's still bad for you. But I didn't smoke much. Ive never finished a pack alone without sharing some.

Yes I think I will do that. Hopefully I can drop at least 5 more thanks!

A shake got Breakfast a good meal w veggies n protein and my shake for dinner. Today I'm thinking about doing only shakes see if that helps.
