I read a post on here a while back about a special suture that surgeon can do while doing a bariatric procedure, to prevent acid and bile re-flux. However, I cannot find that post again...does anyone happen to know the name of that stitch??

No, thankfully, I was one of the lucky ones who actually got rid of bad reflux when I had my VSG back in '15 and haven't had it since, nor have I had any since the MGB revision. This question was actually prompted by a young lady who is very bummed out about having had a VSG and then a revision to MGB like me but she STILL has bad reflux. I remembered reading somewhere about a specific type of stitch that the well-trained surgeons do at the anastomosis during revision or even the original WLS that would prevent reflux. I have yet to find that post again though.

One week post-revision, down 5 lbs since surgery day.....which puts me back under 300. VICTORY!!! Still a ways to go but I'll take every little win I can get. Feeling great other than minor abdominal discomfort.

5 days post-op revision from VSG to MGB. Back home, feeling great. No more gas pain. Only minor discomfort in the abdominals, rather like after having done a bunch of sit-ups. Definitely don't feel like eating anything. Don't even have the boredom hunger like I had before. Fluids are going down ok though so that's good. Going back to work tomorrow. Wish me luck.
