After tons and tons of research I finally pulled the trigger and got the lap band in Tijuana, Mexico from Dr. Pedro Kuri. I cannot believe how great I feel already. My stomach is a little sore and my left shoulder has some small pain, but overall I feel terrific. I was up and walking around 2 hours after the procedure and was able to fly home the following day. I'm so excited! If anyone has any concerns about going to Mexico I would tell them to go the same route I did! Wonderful Dr. Wonderful hospital. Let the journey begin!!!

Thanks folks...I was hoping to get on the course in about four weeks...may have to push that back a week or so!

Get banded on June 27...how long before I can start golfing again? Anyone else have any experience with golfing after surgery? Thanks!

Ok so heres my first post on the forum. Going to Mexico next week to get banded by Dr. Kuri. Excited to get it done and get my life back on track. Starting weight 325 and I'd like to weigh 175 sometime in late 2013!
