Back and Abdominal pain
Territravel replied to Lucky_loser's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like my symptoms on Christmas eve, Ended up "out of town," in the hospital, having my gallbladder removed. Insist on seeing your Doctor tomorrow! He will inform you of your options. Prayers and hugs being sent you way. -
Eventually, you will be able to eat! It's most important to get in all of your fluids. If your tummy likes warm, put your Protein in warm broth. Make your Protein Drink like a hot chocolate, Warm, diluted apple juice? Sip,sip, sip!

I didn't want to spend a lot of money on new clothes, while I was losing weight. Wore some things until it looked pretty sad. I then found a lot of things in my closet, that I had forgot was there. I have a friend that gave me things she couldn't fit into. And I've also purchased some jeans that were brand new, with tags from Goodwill. Can't beat $4.99 for a pair of jeans.

Don't give up. Where there's a will, there's a way! I borrowed from my 401K. Do what ever you have to do to make it happen. Good Luck!

Wow! You look amazing! You could be the Poster Girl for VSG..... -
Bahhhaaaa! Maybe next year, you'll win.

VSG is a tool.. It will help with hunger, and how much food we can eat at a sitting, but doesn't address the issues we have with overeating, and eating the wrong foods. I'm 6 months post op and still have to remind myself that just because I can eat something, doesn't mean i should! Carry those high Protein shakes and Snacks everywhere you go. The second you see goodies that you shouldn't have, run and eat a good snack or drink. Remind yourself, every day, every hour, if you have to, why your health is more important than junk food. Head hunger is a dangerous thing for us. Lets take it serious..."That includes me also."

Gallbladder Surgery...gone horribly wrong!
Territravel replied to Lissa's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I guess it's pretty common. I went out of town to visit the family for Christmas, and on Christmas eve ended up in the hospital having my gallbladder removed. UUgghh! Not trying to hijack Lisa's thread, but anyone know how long before the nauseous goes away, and when I can work out again? I go to my local doctor on Friday. -

401k to fund MX surgery?
Territravel replied to Heyher's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Yes, I did a 401 hardship withdrawal. It covered the surgery, and I was allowed to get a small additional amount for the travel and stay in Cancun. Worked like a charm! Especially, when I read from others, how difficult their Insurance company was to work with. I also read that it may be tax deductible as well.. -
I'm five months out, and I haven't had any symptoms like you described. I'm with Lollylidy, can't hurt to have it checked out. Are you taking any antacids?

My husband is an ass
Territravel replied to Rileysmama's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I agree, it sucks when your family and friends, are eating the things we cant. Some may be sensitive to OUR issues, some will not. Let's be honest, food is the reason we're all in this boat. We have to remember this is Our journey to succeed, or fail falls entirely on our shoulders...I like Amazon 13 suggestion, leave them in the food court, and go shopping, on him of course!. -
My thoughts and prayers are with you! Stay positive, and strong. Consentrate on getting well. You can do this.....

Decided To Stay Off The Scale
Territravel replied to twinsmama05's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I weigh and measure once a week. If I have a week where the scale hasn't moved much, then usually I can tell in my measurements, I want to be healthy and feel good, but don't want to become a slave to the numbers, so once a week works for me.
