Sleeved June 16th. Down 76 lbs . Hope to lose another 15 lbs. The weight loss is slowing down. I'm not getting my fluids in, and not eating like I should. Time to get back on the wagon!

6 months almost done...

Think positive, pray often, it'll happen! -
Everything happens for a reason, I believe! When I decided to go to Cancun and use dr. verboonen, I could find very little info on him. That worried me. But, I prayed, felt at peace and jumped on it. I couldn't be happier. I have recommended him, whenever I see people wanting to go to Mexico.

Too bad your not going to Cancun for your surgery. They have about 4 non stops a day from Atlanta. That's where I went, and it my family had a mini vacation while I was sleeved.

Territravel replied to suejersey's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Throwing up bile every morning
Territravel replied to mzrich's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sick and in pain for about 8 hrs, throwing up bile. Went to the emergency room and It turned out I was having a gallbladder attack. They ended up removing my gallbladder and no more problems with that. I would get another doctors opinion asap! -
Surgery date was 1/22/13 and I have only lost 16 pounds
Territravel replied to bex6's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It seems as If the people starting with a low BMI, lose slower. Have you measured yourself? Sometimes when the weight isn't moving the inches are. Are you counting the amount of carbs your getting? If your eating, and drinking your protein and water, the weight will come off. Be patient, hide the scale for week, see what happens. Good luck! -
I am so sorry that happened to you. People can be so rude. Thank you for raising your children to be better people!
-
By day three, I was up and about. I did take a good long nap everyday for the first two weeks.
-
Are you throwing up, in pain or running a fever? If so , call your Doctor ASAP if not, your probably fine. But if your really concerned you should call your Doctor. Your body is healing, and needs to rest. Walking the first week is probably all the exercise you need, Wait six weeks for anything strenuous.

A good snack if you're at goal and maintaining
Territravel replied to NtvTxn's topic in Food and Nutrition
I've had these, and they are good! Wish they had more protein, kind of low for me. I still have a few pounds to go before maintenance.. -
I really, really miss my sodas!
-
Glad to hear that your feeling great! The process of healing is much easier when you have the right attitude.

18 mos out how much can you eat?
Territravel replied to meggspeggs's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
7 months post op. It depends on what I'm eating. If it's on bread, "like a sandwich" I can only eat half. Any kind of meat is around 3 or 4 ounces. I love sushi, and max for me is 4 pieces. I can put down a good size salad, not sure of the weight, though. -

You will be able to eat your favorite foods again. Just smaller amounts. And not for a few months. And if your lucky, by the time you can eat it, you won't really want it. Your taste will change and sometimes that's a good thing! -
Thrilled and bummed all in one night

Post-Op Diet. I am 6 days out and I am starving. What can I eat?
Territravel replied to rxkid2384's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
No bread. I'm 7 1/2 months out, and I'm just now able to tolerate bread. Broth, creamy soups, yogurt, jello these things wont hurt your tummy, or make you slime like something heavy like bread! -
$30.00 per month. Includes all class like Yoga, Zumba and spin.

Yaah! Prayers for a quick surgery and faster recovery!
