Great job Jentz! We're just getting started. I was sleeved June15, so almost two months now. Down 31lbs total, including pre-op diet. It seems slow compared to others.

Soo Embarrassing Taking Before Pictures
Territravel commented on MissVVJJ's blog entry in V's Journey
One day, none of that will matter. You will be looking fine and life will be good! -
I am so sorry your feeling bad! What is your Doctor saying? What are you taking for the nausea? If you can get the throwing up under control, you'll rest better, and may help with the pain. Remember, small sips, if your drinking cold drinks, switch to warm/hot. Good luck, Hugs and prayers coming your way!

3 Weeks Out And So Tired!
Territravel replied to totlyspld's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, it's normal. Try getting in more protein. B12 shots helped me. -
I have some reflux, but not sweating. I use to be hot natured, and now Im cold all the time. I worried they removed my tatsebuds during my surgery, cause nothing really tastes GOOD anymore, especially drinks!.

Cancun...and A Few Things
Territravel replied to Faith4me's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
The drain was no problem, felt weird when they removed it. The IV was what I couldn't stand, and in Cancun they leave it in until almost time to go home...UUGGHH! -
It has always been my experiance to be yanked around by the insurance company. Decided I would not let them stress me over this surgery. Guess what? I took out $$ from my 401k "hardship loan" and went the self-pay Mexico route.

Hi Jasmine, I was originally thinking of the lapband. I started my WLS info search on the internet and youtube. Once I read about the sleeve, I didn't consider anything else. I am 8 weeks post op, down 31lbs as of today. I feel great, and Im glad I had the surgery. My taste buds have changed, things really dont taste as good as they use to. " That's a good thing, right". Everyones different, what is easy and good to me, might make you gag. LOL!

Diet Coke Rehab.. I Might Need It Lol
Territravel replied to AngelBaby's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I know where your coming from. Giving up coffee and diet coke has been the hardest thing for me. I gave up the soft drinks first, the coffee didn't happen until 3 days before surgery. I'm 8 weeks post op and have had maybe 4 cups of coffee, but it doesn't taste the same or have any appeal to me. Oh, and in the beginning I threatened some people with bodily harm! Luckily, they gave me some space and Now I'm better! -
What Are You Looking Forward To?
Territravel replied to Remodeling.Me's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I desperately want to walk and my thighs not rub together! I want to sit on an airplane and not be wedged into the seat. I want to shop for clothes and look in the mirror and NOT be depressed! -

I remember the days in high school, stuffing myself, wishing I could get to 100 lbs..Oh my, what 30 years and three kids later, will do to you. I have no desire to be that small again, and have no worries that it will. Like Dooter said, I'm good at gaining weight..

I use 1% milk, a scoop of Protein powder, add a little Bolthouse Farms mocha Cappuccino "Krogers", and maybe a little Hills Bros. french vanilla cappuccino..Yummy! The Bolthouse is 100% arabica coffee. It does have 7grams of protein and 28 grams of sugar, so I dont use alot of it, but it gives it a good flavor.

Are Any Of You Using A Doctor After Surgery?
Territravel replied to paigep's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
My Doctor said to go to any general practice Doctor and they can run the blood tests and check my levels. He sent me a sheet that I'm to give them, and that tells them what to check for. He recommend that I go at 3months post op... -
