Please forgive me...It's Yom Kippur
-
RickyDee, I am sorry, and sadden to hear that you were abused spiritually. I am reading a book of selections by Max Lucado and he talks about Gods love. " God's love does not hinge on yours. The abundance of your love does not increase his. The lack of your love does not diminish his. Your goodness does not enhance his love, nor does your weakness dilute it. God loves you simply because he has chosen to do so. He loves you when you don't feel lovely. He loves you when no one else loves you. Others may abandon you, divorce you, and ignore you, but God will love you. Always. No matter what. Many blessing on Yom Kipper, day of Atonement!

Sorry, I didn't go alone to Cancun. But rest assured, your in good hands there. I used Dr. Verboonen and Dr. Perez, they were terrific! Sheri and her husband were very sweet and helpful as well. Try to relax, pray and know that your in the best hands of all "God's," Lifting you in prayer now! -

Will I Ever Be Able To Eat Bread Again?
Territravel replied to juanita19's topic in Food and Nutrition
Yes, you will be able to have bread again. You may find that once you can, you've lost the taste for it. I'm at 14 weeks, and it's one of the few things that my sleeve doesn't tolerate well. Hang in there. Stick with your diet, good things are coming! -
Yogurt and cottage cheese will not pass through security. Protein bars are good to go. Also, you can pack some protein powder in a shaker bottle, and just purchase skim milk at the airport or hotel.

Territravel replied to Shape_Shifter's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My first slime was at 4 weeks. Think i was a little too comfy with my new sleeve. For me, it happens when i eat too fast, "bad habit" Sometimes, I can walk it off, but usually it means a trip to the bathroom to get it out. GROSS! -

Too Much Protein?!
Territravel replied to oconnell's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Got this from Google. ix Potential Side Effects of Too Much Protein in the Diet What happens when your diet regularly exceeds recommended protein levels? Depending on the amount and type of protein you consume, you may end up experiencing a few side effects. Kidney Problems According to National Kidney Foundation, eating too much protein may stress kidneys and contribute to pre-existing kidney problems, high levels of protein in the urine, and kidney stones. Getting plenty of exercise and drinking water can help the kidneys flush wastes out of your system more effectively. Make sure you talk to your doctor before beginning a high protein diet if you have ever experienced kidney problems -

Low Bmi, Insurance Denied :(
Territravel replied to janda927's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My BMI was 39, with no major health issues. After talking to my insurance company, I knew they would never pay for the surgery. I decided to make it happen. I borrowed from my jobs 401 plan, as a medical hardship, went to Mexico and had it done. Where there's a will there's a way! -

Territravel replied to Robyn Owens-Miille's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Gee, that will be difficult, not impossible though. Maybe ALL your daily liquids should be protein drinks? Just kidding. I'm lucky to get 60-70 grams of protein. Let us know what you work out! -

Diet Coke Junkies
Territravel replied to change4life2012's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Quit diet coke and coffee on my 10day pre-op diet..Uuggh it was hard. Sometimes I will have a cup of coffee, but I'm leaving soft drinks alone. -
No, your doing it right. Grazing is more like continuous snacking or eating. It does seem to all run together in the beginning.
