Saw the doc today. Down another two pounds. So exciting!! Made a mush of chicken and yams. Looked yucky but tasted really good!!

Hi Mara, I'm on Long Island, Ronkonkoma. I also had surgery with Dr. Ahmad on July 23. Doing really well. I've started the mushy stage of food. Saw the doc today and lost a total of 14 pounds so far. Feeling pretty good. Good luck to you.

Thanks Patty. How are you doing? I'm doing really well. Went back to work the following Monday. Everyone was so surprised to see me so soon. Didn't have much pain or gas at all. Started mushie stage yesterday. See the doc again tomorrow for check-up. So far lost 14 pounds. Yeah!! Talk soon Christine -
Hey fellow bandsters: I was banded July 23. Been doing really well post-op. Didn't have much gas pain at all!! Very lucky!! Lost 14 pounds so far. Started mushies yesterday. Had two soft boiled eggs for breakfast and pastina with sauce for dinner. Felt like I was eating nirvana!!! Tomorrow I see the doc again. Best of luck to everyone. Christine

Congratulations. Just make sure you're getting enough Water. I was banded on 7/23. Doing well. Had doc appointment and lost 8 pounds since last Tuesday.

Thanks. Surgery went well. No pain just hard to take deep breath from hernia repair. Didn't sleep much last night hope tonight is better! -

My surgery is July 23 too. A little nervous more upset that I only lost 3 pounds on this pre-op diet and haven't cheated at all!! -

Enjoy your 4th too. Started 3 week pre-op today. 3-4 Protein shakes and salad with 6 oz. meat. Not too bad. I did have smidgen of strawberry rhubarb pie though! My date is July 23. Also have hiatel hernia that doc will fix. -

So found out today my date is July 23. Very excited, except now I have to do the pre-op diet....3-4 shakes and a salad plus 2 apples a day for snack. Here's to all the new July babies!!! -
I am hoping for a July 11 date. This would be perfect for me as far as work is concerned because I am a Medical Assistant and my doctor I work for will be on vacation for a week!!! I am meeting with Dr. Ahmad and the nutritionist on Tuesday and will find out then. I have an appointment for the psychologist on Friday. Soo excited about this procedure.

Saw the cardiologist today. He scheduled me for nuclear stress test and echocardiagram. Two more tests and chipping away at work time. Should still have about 60 hours vacation time to take for surgery tho so it's ok. Filling up my days with all these tests and doc appointments!! Still hoping for a July 16 date. Will find out on July 3 at doc office. -
