    Ashamed To Meet Husband Co-Workers

I feel the same way when it comes to his friends and family! My husband also had an affair with some lady and because of that we split up a year I even moved to Chicago (with our 2 boys) from Houston! He had the guts to take her to his family reunions and holiday celebrations at work! He paraded her all around town. Well we decided to try again and now everything is so different in a good way. He transferred over here to Chicago with me but we visit Houston every 3 months or so. And he is always trying to take me out with his old co-workers, friends and family but I feel that they are comparing me to her! She is NOT good looking at all but she is way thinner (and older) than I am!! I just hope someday I can regain confidence in myself! I feel that with what my husband did my self esteem was crushed into pieces! That was one of the reasons I decided to get the surgery. All I can tell you is to keep your head up and use what has happened to us as motivation to get hot and sexy and someday feel great about ourselves.. And hopefully once I reach my goal weight I run into her. I would love to see the look on her face!!! Good luck on your journey!! Tere... Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

    Puzzled

Hi Lauren. Could it be that time of the month? For some odd reason when it's my time I can barely keep liquids down! And I usually start getting stuck frequently a couple days before. I have no idea why this happens.. Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  4. Hi marybell my name is Theresa I am 27yrs old, I have been married for 8 years and I have 2 boys. I got banded may 25th 2012. This has been a challenge I'm not gonna lie but I believe it's been the best choice I have made in a very long time I had to do a 6 month diet before getting banded and I also had a physiological evaluation. I don't have any co-morbidity's other than my weight I started at 366 and on the day of surgery I was 347 and as of today I weigh 317 it might not seem like a lot but I feel great and none of my clothes fit anymore!!! Yay for me!! I know that if I exercise more I will lose more but it's so hard with all this weight on me (I get tired so quick) I love food myself but little by little I am learning to eat the right things and it's not that hard I'm really never hungry! The band is a new lifestyle you don't have to stop enjoying what you like. You will learn to do it with moderation (smaller portions) I recommend you do your research. I know that without the band I wouldn't have been able to lose the little weight that I've lost. My will power is not that great!! I wish you the best of luck with your journey!! If you have any questions of comments feel free to send me a message!! Good luck!! Tere Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

    Up & Down With Pounds!

I think you should try avoiding the scale for a while. I myself am batteling the scale temptation but i have noticed that when I weigh myself only once a week I see a drop in weight but when I weigh my self two or more times a week my weight fluctuates and that tends to discourage me! Good luck on your weight loss journey! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

I am 27 I started at 366, I'm 2 months post op and I am at 335 as of this morning. I'm losing slowly but I'm losing and to me that's all that matters. I too wish I would have done this at an earlier age but I'm happy I finally did something to take control. I cant wait to get out of the 300's!! Good luck with your journey. You will do great and remember slow and steady wins the race!! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

  12. I just started my weight loss journey, but I would really like to reward myself by being able to enjoy an awesome roller coaster ride!! I remember I used to love them until I got to big and no longer fit in them! My excuse has always been I don't like to ride them or I'm afraid! But the truth is I'm to embarrassed to say I can't ride them because I'm too fat! But I know I will (hopefully soon) be able to ride them again! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

  15. I had Lapband surgery on Friday and my doctor forgot to give me the spirometer!! I was all drugged up so I didn't even think about it, I was perfectly fine until last night I started coughing and whezzing!! This morning I walked my son to school and almost passed out because I was not breathing correctly! I called the doctor and he told me that's why I gave you the spirometer to avoid breathing issues!! I said I'm sorry but I think you forgot to give it to me!! Long story short, now I'm sitting in a hospital bed getting breathing treatments every 2-4 hours!! So please avoid this if you are having surgery don't forget the spirometer!! :-/ Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

Thanks to that I was in the hospital 2 days having breathing treatments every 2-4 hours!! I have to admit that my doctor has been great he has been calling me on a daily basis and asking if he can do anything to help! I hope you get better soon!!
