I'm having the rny. I was originally going to have the sleeve but I have a hiatal hernia and my surgeon didn't it was a good idea. I work in healthcare and am a MRSA carrier. I have been doing stuff to prevent an infection and will most likely be on antibiotics in the hospital. I have found that some men are insecure with themselves when it comes to wls. Jessica

I have to do a bowel prep also but it's all otc stuff. My surgeon ordered it but I'm the one that does it. Here are my orders: day before surgery- *NO red, purple or orange- *clear liquids only- *12pm-drink 10oz bottle of Mag citrate *3pm-4 Dulcolax tablets with 8oz water *6pm- mix 32oz Gatorade with a bottle of Mirilax(drink within 2hrs) *Follow with another 32oz Gatorade(no Mirilax) drink within 2hrs *If you are not having yellow watery bowl movements after the Mirilax, drink another 10oz bottle of mag citrate. *Nothing after midnight Jessica

Hey there everyone! I wanted to say "WELCOME" to or new members. It's wild to think this thread started with just a few of us. Good luck to everyone having surgery this week. Thoughts and prayers are with you and with those recovering. Today I start my liquid diet to shrink my liver. It's crazy to think that my surgery is next week... Hope everyone has a good week! I must be weird. It still hasn't really hit me yet. I mean I'm three days away from a liquid diet and thirteen days away from surgery!!! It just doesn't seem real. I keep waiting on something to happen...lol. This kind of opportunity doesn't happen to me, a new chance on life!!! Jessica

I have to do a ten day low sugar full liquid diet. I can only have three servings of dairy and two protein shakes a day. I can have all the broth, water, flavored water sugar free popcicles( stuff like that) that I want! Ten days of it. Jessica

Idk... I saw where Wendy had posted that she only had 8 hours left. I would be a wreck!!! I pray your heart will be okay for surgery. My mom's would get so bad they would have to stop it and restart it. Keep us posted on everything. I'm going to bed. Gotta get registered tomorrow... Jessica
