Im sure that you would be able to get a handicap pass but the thing is that you are supposed to be walking alot...at least that is what they told me so I dont know if the doc would get you one... I happen to have one only becuase my knees are messed up and i had a broken foot...it will be up in july and i will have to park in gods country to get into work...it will stink but its alright. so regarding the support group i have not been to one yet. i have only been to the one meeting before that. i wis that we didnt have to pay ten dollars to go to the support group. it kind of stinks. but im up for going. not sure when you are thinking of going. let me know and we can all met up,. u me and Kat... Kat, dr wallace did my sister in laws veins. she loves him... I think they are all great there. I saw dr Rantis when i was in the hospital he was cool too -

I am so sorry to hear that you were injured I hope that you will get better soon and you are definately in my prayers. not sure where exactly you live but if you need anything let me know...always willing to help out a sleever in need Speaking of clothes....I just went through my clotes yesterday.. it took the whole friggin day LOl. I have 8 bins of clotes that are too small becuase i had lost 100lbs on my own but gained it all back and i kept all the clothes. so i was looking at them and i couldnt believe that i fit in those at one time... then i set up in the extra bedroom the next size down so i can go into those.. I have more clothes than i know what to do with. I would rather trade or give to someone in need than try to just sell them... -

Kinda Confused...
shrinkinmama replied to Sandra_Baby87's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
All the wierd noises that the stomach makes...and they are loud is the digestion process... I have been at this for a month now and i remember being so paranoid in the begining about eating or drinking the right amount or how I was supposed to feel. Every one always said you will know it just takes time to learn your body over again. I felt alot of pressure every time i even took the littlest sip...it will get eaiser to drink the Water. I used to hold a small water bottle up to my lilps and just take a little bit in ever minute or so while i was just sitting around watching tv or something. By the 2nd and then 3rd weeks it gets soooo much easier to get more in. I was freaking out at first becuase i felt like for the rest of my life i have to drink like a cat... you have got be kidding me. However I was wrong and i can take in alot more water..it goes down so much easier... you wil get there it just takes time but not too much time. I have started my soft food diet this week and I feel almost like I did when i started the liquids...its trial and error for each stage so until you get on regualr food it is try it and hope it goes down nice. good luck every one, -
Lissa, if you can or cant chew it dont do it? I somehow got confused

Oh you are so lucky you did not have the gas pain. I wanted to die for two days about this. during the surgery they blow you up wiht carbon dioxide so they can move around in your abdomin easier. some of it after gets trapped and can cause pain as it travels around. Walking is the best way to get rid of it if you haveit. If you never get it like Michelle you are super lucky

Thes crazy crazy eggs....i ate puree eggs for the last two weeks and loved them so much I could have had them every meal. today i ate what is essentally a scrambled egg...it was left over frittata from mothers day but it was baked scrambled eggs with a little cheese I had about 5 bites and got the worst pain in my chest and right where it goes into my stomach.. I did this about an hour ago and I still feel horrible. It hurts and just feels uncomfortable. I wonder if it makes a difference if they are hot or cold or scrambled or pureed. I also tried some pureed pork the other day and that didnt sit well either... I dont know what else to eat. I am 4 weeks out and starting on soft food,. HELP I really dont know what to eat that is soft. Im so scared -

Congrats! I know it is so exciting when you get approve. You will be fine and feel great shortly after your surgery. I know everyone is diferent but at least you will be able to get up and walk and move around. The first couple of days are not that great but it does get better. No one told me about the gas they use to blow up your tummy to see what they need to see so I would say that keeping it real and telling you that it is going to not feel good is what I would impart to you as I wish I would have know about that. It lasted for about 2 days and they tell you to just walk and walk and walk.

Woot Woot!!!!! I am sure you are so excited...no you just have to wait for the hole to close. I said it either looks like lips up top of down below LOL It grosses people out so of course I think its hilarious. LOL -
I was told 100mcg a day for the b12. I was tired too on the 10th day...I am 22 days out now and i went back to work this week and I still feel better than i did on day 10. I too thought that something was wrong but there wasnt i had blood drawn and all that good stuff. just keep the water bottle to your lips when you are supposed to and sip sip sip. I know its so annoying when we say that but I promise you that you will be able to suck it down much faster very soon.. I can get through 66 oz and more at this point. you just have to focus on it...and if you need a nap take one..it will get better I promise.
