I have been getting in about 66 oz...some times more. I have figured out that tea or room temp water goes down in the morning alot easier than regular water. then i have a 22oz bottle and i focus on filling it and drinkingit 3 times. i have never had to think so hard about getting water in ever in life. Im going to the dr tomorrow so we shall see what he has to say about the water retention.... i dont think its salt cause i was eating way more before this and i have never had swollen feet. I did read in a book that if you dont get enough Protein it can cause that but i am getting 60 grams so IDK

-
well not too bad unless i eat too much of it. so at least when i eat a cookie it is only one and not 10 so i guess that is a plus but i find my self no just not even wanting to eat.. food is turning me off all together today.

M&m's Old Habits Die Hard. Help! I Feel So Guilty
shrinkinmama replied to shrinkinmama's topic in Food and Nutrition
Oh i forgot to mention the sugar cookie dough that i ate. probably almost a cup of it. I am having a bad day today....issues with my husband and food has always been my go to and the cookie dough goes down so easy -
So I am almost 5 weeks out and I have been by the book to the T. Today I was at a friends house and they had dip and then pretzle nuggets and of course the chocolate m&m's. I sat there and was so good just drinking my water, I decided if i eat a few of the chocolate it wont hurt becuawse it will melt in my mouth. so i ate them and they were good. then i was thinking well a pretzle and the chocolate would be good together so I started eating an eating and eating.. I was of course chewing it till it was mush and then the next thing i knew i was drinking to wash it down. After about an hour of doing this I felt sick and soooooo GUILTY. It was insaine. I guess I can just tell my self I wont do that but I felt like I used to. I would have normally eaten so much of the snaky type food. It was just so dissapointing that I let myself get back into this habit. I realized that I really do have to work on this.

What Is A "normal" Weight?
shrinkinmama replied to CRANBERRY31's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can tell you that i am 5 7 and i weighed 305 when i started. I used to weith that and then i lost 100lbs on my own so i was around 200. People told me that if i lost anumore weight i would be too skinny but i know that is still considered obese. I totally get your confusion. I would just follow the rules and work out and your body will stop where its supposed to be i think -
18 Months And Counting...photo Update

wow you look amazing! great inspiration for me. I am only 4 weeks out and have been at a stall for 2 weeks already. I didnt think that it would happen this fast. I assumed that a stall would happen a few months out or something. I am just feeling frustrated and this was always my biggest fear. I am the type of person that needs to follow and strict schedule with eating and I know that is not the way to go. I am eating 4 to 6 times a day and gettin my protein and water...I dont know what im doing wrong. Advice? -
Ill will give you my two cents on this...First I am so sorry to hear that you are not feeling good. It makes me sad to hear that but I can understand excatly where you are coming from. I am 4 weeks out as of Tuesday and I am for this two week supposed to be on soft food. I eat chicken salad tuna salad beans etc. I eat about a half a cup up to 6 times a day. I am supposed to eat 60 grams of protein and 4-6 times a day. They said not to go over too much with the protein as it adds more calories. Then in two weeks where you are at they say a cup to a cup and a half if you can and then try one new food at a time. 64 oz of water minimum and to be active as much as possible. I hope that helps. Im always up for a chat if you ever need to talk. Just let me know

You are going to get better with the walking. it is hard in the begining cause every thing seems to hurt. just take it slow and you will get there. I thought that I was going to die the first couple of weeks. I was walking so funny my hips started hurting. LOl but now im back to my normal self -
Sleeved On May 14Th
shrinkinmama replied to Shani77's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ladies, I am about a month ahead of you and I can relate. It seems so close but so far away. I felt the same way that you do. I took a small waterbottle and held it to my lips all day and just took little tiny sips all day long in bewtten the "food" that I was allowed. You wont get all your water in...it is just impossible but after a week or two you will see the huge difference. It wont hurt like it does now and it will get so much easier. I promise you -
Hey all, I just started week 4 and I am so through with purees. If i have to eat something like that again I hope im 90 years old. With that being said I am looking for ideas of soft stuff to eat that will be easy on the sleeve. Any help is greatly appreciated.
-

-
Totally uersand how you feel. I am 4 weeks out and have lost 25 since the two weeks before. I have been stalled for 2 weeks and I was expecting more to drop and now i feel like my worst fear has come true that i am going to be at this weight forever.

What Week Were You Able To Eat Normal Food?
shrinkinmama replied to B~Happy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told at 4 weeks out which i am now I can start soft food like chicken and stuff like that as long as I chew it up real well. I have had a couple bites of hamburger, chicken breast and it goes down just fine as long as i chew it well. I used a litle catchup and on the chicken i put some slasa verde...yum. also refried Beans wiht fage yougart...lots of Protein. I used to love cottage cheese but now its gross to me...so sad cuase it has alot of protein. also i have had lentils oatmeal, egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad. crab sala...all with a little bit of mayo... its not too bad. some time things are easier than others. oh and ricotta cheese with all sorts of stuff. im so ricottad out though. LOL i did liquids for 2 weeks and then puree for 2 weeks and now i am at the soft for two and then on to whatever i want....im assuming that roughage stuff willtake a bit longer so they say one at a time.
