I quit 4 yrs ago this month, which is WHY I got fat in the first place LOL

It must have been "Eat the crap day" because I stayed home sick and although my tummy was upset all day, I chose to eat crap and make it even more upset.

I was good all day until dinner - but then I wasn't horrible. I ate 3 veggies of my hubbies tempura, and I ate a spicy tuna sushi roll without rice - they wrap it in cucumber, it's really yummy and light. But then I had a bite of his cream cheese "heart attack" - it's a crispy jalapeno with spicy tuna and cream cheese, then batter dipped and deep fried. I didn't have much, just a bite! I feel so guilty though LOL Probably had about 1000 calories today...not too bad but I did clean in the garage all day so I'm sure I worked some of that off! Gina I'm so glad that you liked your gift - I fell in love with it when I saw it. If I still had german shepards I would have bought one for me too! :smokin: Merry Christmas! I wonder when my Violet will receive her gift??? Should be any day now....I love Christmas! I'm almost finished with my shopping, then I get the great chore of wrapping. Thankfully this year we didn't buy as many gifts because we're trying to pay off bills so that we can buy a new house this time next year. Wow, what a week this was at work. We've had a lot of people out sick with respiratory illness and it was BUSY! Well off to clean the garage - making room in one of the spare bedrooms to start decorating the nursery. :girl_hug: Have a wonderful day Violets!!!

Turns out I was supposed to have 3.4cc in my band, however I only had 1.8cc....not sure why, but he filled me back up and I have restriction again.

I have a 4cc band and am filled to 3.2cc - was banded April 26, 2007. I've felt restriction before, but it goes away after a few weeks so this last fill I had some restriction but felt that I needed a little more and after he gave me a slight fill, it was like I completely lost all of my restriction. I guess that's what I get for being greedy....I don't know what to do now! Any suggestions? Do you think I may have slipped?? :help:

2 things: 1st: First I feel restriction!!! Not as much as maybe I'd like, but it's DEFINITELY there! I could feel it almost as soon as I started eating today, and I had to keep at a slow pace to eat, but everything went down ok as long as I chewed slowly and took smaller bites. 2nd: I sent my Secret Santa package in the mail priority mail today! hehe, someone will have their package in 2-3 days! I love sending presents!!! I hope that they like it!

It's not that the stress test hurts, they just make you run on a treadmill until you can't do it anymore....I did one and lasted about 5 minutes and felt like I was going to pass out LOL...had problems with my asthma for the rest of the day, but I was also about 50 lbs heavier than I am now. I'd have it done just to rule out any problems. In response to the way your heart beats - mine does that too. The vagus nerve is there too and I notice that when I eat is when it happens most often, or when I have gas. Same thing, heart beats a little faster and harder, sometimes I feel a little nauseous but not too bad. It's weird - and I've had the whole cardiac workup and they say I'm fine! Don't worry about it. Just take care of yourself!

Well ladies - I knew something wasn't right with my band! My last fill took me to 3.4cc in a 4cc band, however afterwards I felt like I lost ALL restriction!! I've worried myself sick over this, all the while I started to feel depressed because I felt hungry all of the time....so yes, I stopped posting some because I felt in a funk.... I go today to see what's going on, and I only had 1.4cc in my band! He's not sure if he miscalculated putting the last fill in (he draws it all out before putting it back in), or if the syringe disconnected with the port halfway through putting it back in, or if I have a small leak. He put me back to 3.4cc and I go back in on 12/11. If I've lost my fill between now and then I'll be going back for a port/tubing revision....cross your fingers that I don't have a leak!!! I'm sitting here now drinking water and I feel some restriction, so we'll see.... Anyway, I just wanted to update you on why I was eating like a pig!

I'm in the same boat...have been since my last fill. Since he gave me my last fill, which I felt I only needed a tiny amount, I have lost most restriction....talk about a let down girls! I've been able to eat most of what I want and how ever much I want since then. Thankfully I have an appt in the morning....when I went for my fill 4 weeks ago, I weighed 214.4, as of this morning I weighed 212.4, so I haven't technically gained, well yes I have, I was down to 210.6 lol....I've ate really bad the last 2 weeks, but I'm going in for a fill (hopefully) tomorrow morning and I'm jumping BACK ON THE WAGON!!!! I can't let this keep me feeling down or I'll slip back into a huge food relapse even worse than I'm experiencing...which is why I haven't posted much lately. Oh well, another day behind me, moving forward! I'll be mailing out my Secret Santa gift this week!!!

Hi everyone! I haven't had a lot of time to read through the blogs because I've been trying to get ready for Thanksgiving (it's at my house this year), and we had to clean and shampoo carpets (I REALLY needed to do that)...It's been crazy busy. I'll read this weekend and catch up, but I wanted to share my joy with you all - since I consider you all part of my family We recorded the baby's heartbeat tonight.....She's almost 14 weeks - in her 2nd trimester. Here's my families favorite recipe for Thanksgiving! Sweet Potato Casserole Serves/Makes: 8 Ready In: 1-2 hrsIngredients: 6 large sweet potatoes 2 cups sugar (or Splenda equivalent) 4 eggs 2 sticks butter, softened 2 teaspoons vanilla extract ***Crunch Topping*** 2/3 cup melted butter 2/3 cup flour 2 cup brown sugar (or Splenda Brown Sugar Blend equivalent) 2 cup chopped pecans 2 tablespoon cinnamon Directions:Boil potatoes until tender. Remove skins when cooled. Put into a large bowl and whip them until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased casserole and top with the Crunch Topping. Bake at 350�F for 45-50 minutes. :hungry:

Ok so here's a new ultrasound pic of Shannyne & Jon's baby (my grandbaby!!!)....It's so weird because if you look at the last ultrasound 4 weeks ago, the baby looked like a little bean....now it really looks like a baby!!! I can't believe how fast they grow!!! I got so teary eyed in the doctors office! The baby was sucking on it's entire hand!!! LOL I asked Jon "So what do you think about your baby??"...he replies "It has my eyes" LOL!!! Shannyne was happy that she saw her baby again today - she was going to ask the doctor if he could do an ultrasound when all the sudden the door opens and they're pushing in the machine!

Wooohooo! I'm a secret Santa!!! I can't wait to start shopping for my Secret Violet!!!!

Pamela, congrats on the loss!!!! Isn't this such a wonderful feeling? It may take us a little while to hit each milestone, but each moment is worth the wait!!! Congrats! You're looking fantastic!!!

I am so obsessed, but so is my daughter! LOL - I rented a fetal doppler and we heard the baby's heartbeat today for the first time! It was averaging about 165 beats per minute....it was so tiny but so fast! I almost cried - well ya, I was teary eyed... I can't wait to be a grandma!!! This is so wonderful experiencing this with my baby girl I was at my lowest weight so far this morning - 211.6 - slowly but surely! Everyone is doing so great!!!

Happy Thursday Violets! Well this has been a good week - no I haven't lost a pound. LOL But Monday I got a raise and a $2000 bonus - today the COO walks in and hands me the Christmas bonuses for the staff....everyone is opening theirs and I went back into my office to check mine out (thinking I'm going to get $1000 each like they did...) Imagine my surprise when I saw a $5000 check!!! Talk about happy!! I'm going shopping this weekend!

I'm 6 months out and am losing hair by the brush fulls! Hair everywhere on my floors, down my drains, in my car, in my office, etc. I notice my hair thinning and my part is a little wider - also notice more of a part towards the back of my head and my bangs are thinner...yep, it stresses me out, but so does being fat! I can live with the hairloss as long as it's temporary. I've been losing it for about 2 months, and sometimes it seems like it's slowing down, then WHAMO! I have a handful again... My Protein averages about 70g a day, I'm taking extra Biotin, drinking plenty of Water...nothing has helped.

TracyinKS I have a question for you - Last visit to the doc he put in another .2cc, making a total of 3.4cc. I swear since he put that in I feel like I have NO restriction! Has this happened to you at all??? It's only been a week since my last fill but I can pretty much eat anything I want now. I'm almost tempted to try steak just to see if it will go down...I was tight every morning to where I couldn't even hardly eat a hard boiled egg....since my fill I can eat that PLUS a banana....do you think my band slipped???? I'm so stressed over this. If I feel this way next week I'm going back in....:confused:

Yellowish drainage doesn't always mean "infection". The rule of thumb is if you've been sick 7-14 days and over the counter meds don't alleviate or minimize your symptoms, you may need an antibiotic. Many people think that they need an antibiotic right away, which can be detrimental in the long run because it eventually will lower your body's reaction to the antibiotics so that when you DO have an infection, it takes longer or stronger meds to fight the infection. People think that just because they start feeling better after taking their antibiotics for a week that they did have an infection. However most viruses would have went away on their own in about the same amount of time, which is why the rule of thumb is 7-14 days with OTC (over the counter) meds before getting an antibiotic. And your doctor should not be just handing them out! I've seen too many doctors hand them out like nothing....my doctor uses the rule of thumb and I completely trust his judgment! :confused: I'd go see your PTP and do what he says to do if the OTC meds aren't making you feel any better....
