Oh ya, and I need to quit comparing myself to my twin Violet TracyinKS! She's doing better than me and I kept beating myself up over it. Enough is enough. She looks damn good and that's that! -

Judy - Since Halloween, the fact that my doctor unfilled half of my fill on accident, through Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year, I haven't gained anything per say, but I haven't lost either!! We all hit these plateaus. It's the simple Murphy's Law of dieting of any sort, even with the Lap Band or the Gastric Bypass. Guess what? You're human, just like the rest of us. We all falter, but we will not fail. We encourage each other to get up, dust off and move on. Guess what? You'll falter again at some point. That's just the way it is in life...and you'll move past it once again. Like Laura said, if you can't indulge a little, what's the sense in living?? Enjoy your food, respect your band, and indulge a little in life. Sure it may take a little longer to get to your goal but you won't feel so deprived and chances of you gaining it back (like we all have in the past) is a lot less. I don't think that Terry made the WWJD bracelets because we expect you to be perfect Judy. From my perspective she made them because despite the fact that we all may falter, get discouraged, rant and rave, you're still here for us, encouraging us, motivating us to move past it and continue on. THAT is what makes you special! You're not judgmental of us, so why are you so judgmental of yourself?? I know why, because I do it to myself as well. I think we all do. It's so much easier to give the advice and encouragement than it is to follow it ourselves. Why? Because we're human and we enjoy food. So what? You weigh less than you did a year ago, and next year you'll weigh less than you did this year.... Ok off the soap box for me. I'm done. Now get your butt back here and post with us! :clap2: -

Congratulations Panda!!!! It must be that time of the year, it seems everyone is having babies! Both of my daughters, one of my nurses, my daughters best friend....and it seems every time I turn around at the store or anywhere that I go there's a pregnant woman! hehe You must feel wonderful. I remember being pregnant and even when my daughters told me they were pregnant, we had to do multiple HPT's just to prove it. Then reality didn't really set in until they saw the first ultrasound....I'm still coming to terms with my oldest being pregnant. She keeps having bleeding, but according to the ultrasound everything looks great and they said that a lot of women experience bleeding during pregnancy. I did through my 4th month with my second daughter... Congratulations again! Let us know your due date! We should have a "virtual baby shower" for her!!! -

I'm in bed too Laura...although I wish I could eat! Just the sound of food or liquids makes me nauseated. I'm sure I'm dehydrated, but I can barely get anything down without feeling sick. No diarrhea today, but I'm sure it's because I haven't eaten anything since day before yesterday. I hope it's just the stomach flu and not my band. I've been extra gassy, nauseated, diarrhea, and my tummy is grumbling like crazy. My kitty was laying next to me and when my tummy grumbled it scared him away! How ironic, I'm laying here watching the Intervention marathon too. These shows always make me cry....they hit so close to home with my daughters in the past, my brother and other family members and friends.... Ok, back to sipping propel....hope you feel better soon Laura! -

Happy New Years Eve Violets! I'm sick, sick, sick today. Woke up nauseated and on the verge of getting sick, diarrhea (TMI i know!), and I haven't been able to eat or drink anything today. I just wanted to tell everyone Happy New Year! Hopefully I'm not sick tomorrow on the first day of 2008! That just won't be a good sign for me LOL -

Tracy I am SO envious and so disappointed in myself! :Banane34: I have done nothing but eat junk food for the past month. I don't even LIKE sweets, yet I'm craving them like crazy. I got another Rocky Mountain Chocolate basket today and ate and ate out of it.... **WARNING: FOOD PORN!!! Chocolate, nut, caramel and candy coated apples, tiger butter, chocolate and caramel covered nuts clusters, rice crispy marshmallow treats with chocolate chips, caramel and nut coated popcorn, chocolate covered pretzels.... AHHH NEED I SAY MORE???? I'm up 4 lbs....My lowest has been 208.8, and this morning I was up to 212. I need to stop, but for some reason my willpower has left....please send Violet power my way!!! :help: :sick :faint: -

Still have to go to my in-laws house, but so far I've gotten: 2 sets of sheets for my bed, 2 victoria secrets night shirts, DKNY "Simply Delicious" perfume, Dolce & Gabbana "Light Blue" perfume, a Paris Hilton perfume gift set, a bottle of Tommy Girl, a White Diamonds perfume gift set, a variety/sampler perfume gift set, a camcorder w/carry bag, a laptop/docking station/carry bag, a mystic fire necklace & earrings, a wall hanging candle sconce, a $150 gift card to the Spectrum (local spa), a candle, a $200 gift card to Chicos, a $25 American Express gift card, a Rocky Mountain Chocolate gift basket (and yes I helped eat it :sick ), a foot warmer/massager, a candle warmer & scented candle. I feel like I just went shopping!! LOL I've been walking around with the video camera driving everyone nutso... But most important, I have my health, my family and my friends....I feel very lucky! -

Good morning Violets! Merry Christmas Eve!!!! Jennifur - I'm so sorry for the loss of your kitty...I know how hard it is - I lost my 13 yr old kitty a few years ago to an illness, and it killed me so bad. They become part of your family so quickly... I wanted to clarify, the daughter who was bleeding yesterday isn't the one who had her ultrasound. She's actually doing great, she's 5 months pregnant, and other than still struggling with nausea/vomitting, her pregnancy is progressing great. The one who was bleeding yesterday (she hasn't bled today at all), is my older daughter who is only 6 weeks pregnant. She put in another call to the OB doctor on call and didn't tell them that she wasn't an established patient yet, and just asked him if it was anything to be concerned about and should she go to the ER. He said no, it's very common, especially after a pelvic exam or sex (she had sex right before she started bleeding) because the uterus and cervix has an increased flow of blood to it due to the pregnancy and anytime the cervix is irritated, it could bleed, which is what she did all day yesterday. Today she seems fine - pregnancy test still says she's pregnant. Everyone's Violet prayers must have worked!! Thank you all!!! I'm going to be very busy the rest of the week, so if I don't talk to you all, I hope that you have a wonderful and safe Christmas!!! :rose: -

Today hasn't started off that great....first, I ate too many sweets yesterday and I feel like a fat cow today. Then I'm out doing some last minute shopping for Christmas dinner, and my oldest daughter calls me (she's the one who's 6 weeks pregnant) to tell me that she's having some cramping and bleeding. So she comes over and she's pretty much gotten herself hysterical....so I have to calm her down and show her on the internet that during the first trimester that this happens a lot and it doesn't always mean that she's having a miscarriage...This is what the American Pregnancy Association says about bleeding during the first trimester: Vaginal bleeding can occur frequently in the first trimester of pregnancy and may not be a sign of problems. Bleeding can be a sign of miscarriage but does not mean that miscarriage is imminent. Studies show that anywhere from 20-30% of women experience some degree of bleeding in early pregnancy. Approximately half of pregnant women who bleed do not have miscarriages. Approximately 15-20% of all pregnancies result in a miscarriage, and the majority occur during the first 12 weeks. So it's a lot more common than I thought...we did a pregnancy test and it still says that it's positive. I'm hoping for a positive outcome - both her and her boyfriend are pretty upset. I called the doctor and they won't see her because she's not an established patient yet...she had just made her appointment with him and doesn't have an appt until Jan 22nd, so I'm going to call at 8am tomorrow and see if he can get her in to be seen. Anyway, please send Violet power her way.... -

Mazie, You and your mom will be in my prayers. I hope she makes a speedy recovery.... Jennifur, 2008 is going to be YOUR year...I just feel it. Keep your chin up girlie....be thankful for what you have - your children and family, your health, your Violet sisters! *hugs* TracyinKS, if you get any skinnier you're gonna blow away! hehe...you're looking fantastic! I figure after the holidays I'll get my butt back on track. I DO have restriction, just eating all of the holiday junk they keep bringing into the office. Pam, I hope your back feels better soon! I have lots of problems with my neck and back. Too many years being bad to it working in the hospitals I suppose. Cindy, we want cruise details! Do you know I've NEVER been on a cruise? I'm going to have to get my hubby to take me.... Well Violets, today is the day! I get to find out what Grandbaby #1 is...a boy or a girl! I'll post pics when I get home. Have a fabulous day my sister Violets!!! -

Well I just was informed today that not only am I going to be a grandma, I'm going to be a grandma x 2!!! My oldest daughter is 5 1/2 weeks pregnant. Now this is the daughter who has struggled with addiction, so I have really mixed feelings. She says that she's clean and will stay that way, and she seemed emotional and sincere, so we'll see. Her, her boyfriend, and her sister (probably for moral support) came to my work to tell me today (probably figured at work I wouldn't be able to lose it!). I'm nervous for her, but happy for her too. They both seem very happy. She hasn't seen a doctor yet, but from what we figure going by her last period, she's probably around 6 weeks, which would make her due in August 2008 - 3 1/2 months after my first Grandchild will be born. Hey, at least I'm healthy enough and young enough to enjoy them!!! I'm glad that I'm still losing, I'm going to need all the energy I can get to keep up!!! -

Kat, My daughter has good days and bad days...over the weekend was bad...today was good. She's lost 19 lbs total so far, but her doctor isn't too worried about her or the baby. He said he's seen mothers who have hyperemesis (throwing up the entire pregnancy) who deliver healthy babies 7- 8 1/2 lbs. The mother may be miserable, but the kid is like a little parasite, taking everything they need! She was chubby before the pregnancy, so she can stand to lose a little more weight anyway...although she feels like crap! She goes this Friday to have a 3D ultrasound. I'm so excited. They'll give us a DVD of the entire session (25-30 minutes) and will tell her then if it's a boy or a girl. I'm so excited! Here's a current pic of her from this weekend...her little tummy is starting to pooch out! Funny to think that she was a preemie when she was born 19 1/2 yrs ago - she weighed all of 3 lbs 5 oz....she was born at 28 weeks, and now she's carrying a baby!!! -

Hi Kat - The little mommy is sick sick sick. She's lost 19 lbs since she found out she was pregnant - she's now 16 weeks, so I hope that it tapers off soon. Baby is doing great...we actually saw it on the ultrasound today, but the doc has an older ultrasound so they can't tell what the sex is. She goes in on January 8th to be measured/dated and will hopefully find out then. Grandma is pathetic....yes, I've bought this unborn child Christmas presents...LOTS and LOTS of them...I'm going to be so broke when this baby is born LOL -

Mmmmmmmmmmmm I love Wendy's chili...and it's not TOO bad for us bandsters....lots of protein and not as many calories as a burger. I'm at 210-211 and I'm still in an 18 jean....some 16's. I'm 5'3 1/2"...maybe that's why? It's all packed in my butt and belly! I can feel restriction, now it's all about making healthy choices once more. I was doing great, loss my restriction because I lost half of my fill, and I've been on a downward spiral since then. Eating every bit of junk food that I can.....back on track darnit!!! Judy, I got your card today...you and your DH look fantastic. Love the Yorkies too....made me smile....thank you very much Michelle, Pam, Kat, Gina, Jennifur, Laura - helloooooo!!! -
