OMG what a difference! You're looking good Tracy!!!! Keep up the good work girlie!!!

Laura, Did you watch Lost last night??? I fell asleep but the hubby recorded it. I'm getting ready to watch it now!
-
Jennifur, Good luck tomorrow! I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers! You're going to nab this one...I just know it!
-
I LOVE those things! OMG I could eat a whole box! Loved them since I was a kid....
-
ALSO, I have to add that when I eat "junk food" like what you've eaten today, I seem to be able to eat more of it. I can eat less good for me food, like protein, than I can junk food. Isn't that just Murphy's Law??
-
I get full, but I still think that I may need a tiny fill...what I do is slow down just a little so I can eat the rest of my food because it "tastes good"...i need to get up and walk away from the food once I have the "full" feeling. But again, I think I need a tiny itty bitty fill...I'm due to see the doc on 2/11. I don't think that I'm as tight as I should be, but it scares me to want to be as tight as I know that I need to be. Does that make sense? LOL

I'll get it, but because in total I owe $2600 in taxes, it will go to uncle sam once again. Oh well, the joys of life.....

I had a hiatal hernia before my surgery and had to take 2 aciphex per day...not a problem with it in the 8 months since surgery...omg 9 months now! Anyway, I've been off my meds since my surgery. Maybe you have a hiatal hernia??

Laura, I've watched my 401k dwindle the past few months too...my broker keeps telling me not to change anything, sit it out and wait and it will come back up. He said that's exactly what people do, panick and pull their money out, which makes things even worse....just hold tight! I have also got to say that I HATE THE IRS!!! Just did my taxes. We owe federal $1308 and state $1318. I'm going to be paying them all damn year. Sometimes I miss making less money so that I GET money back at the end of the year...but then I love making more money throughout the year....whatever, I still hate them. LOL

Hi Violets...I just need to vent today. My oldest daughter, the one I've had problems with in the past with substance abuse, who's now 11 week pregnant came over today and you could tell that she was really tired and had been crying. Well turns out that her loser boyfriend came home drunk last night and they got into an argument and he slapped her in the face twice....apparently this isn't the first time that he's done this when he's been drinking. Then she left and his mom called her giving my daughter the lecture about how she needs to just do what he tells her to do and learn how to keep her mouth shut...mind you this woman left HIS father for the same thing, abuse and cheating. How DARE her say that to my daughter!!! I'm so angry right now that I've cried....I've given my daughter the lecture about how it's not going to get better, and chances are good that it's going to get worse. She won't even tell me where they live or I'd call the cops myself...I'm so angry that if I see him I will slap him in the face myself, HARD, so he can see exactly what it feels like....It's probably a good thing that I don't know where they stay. I'm so angry...and worried. I'm worried that he's going to hurt her or the baby, or both. I'm worried that the baby will be brought up in that environment....I don't know what to do....even my hubby got straight with her and gave her the facts. Now she's mad that I told him. I told her that I'm sorry, but as a mother I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't say something and try to talk some sense into her...be it by myself or with the help of someone else....does anyone have any suggestions? I'm desperate....

Laura, you were beautiful before you lost weight, now you're even more so...You look amazing! I love your hair too...I know what you mean about the hair finally growing back. I've noticed (knock on wood), that my hair isn't falling out as much as it used to....let's hope that it stays that way! Anyway, good job on your weight loss...you're doing great!

Depends on how accurate the tests are...if my port was leaking, I'd have surgery in a hot second to fix it. I love my band!!!! By the way, although I ate too many calories, (not bad stuff, just too many calories), I am proud to say that I exercised for 30 minutes on my daughters treadmill burning 153 calories!!! Like Pamela says - "wooofreakinghoo!!!!"

Wow this story is so sad, yet it's so happy too...there's some bad language, but it's VERY inspiring...at least it was to me.... shizzle

Ewww I just browsed through the Rants & Raves...never been there before, don't want to go back. I felt like I was in high school just reading the posts...catty, bitchy people! I'll just stay right here where I'm cozy and safe. :frown:

That is EXACTLY what I'm experiencing. Most meat, other than ground beef, doesn't go down very well. I sometimes take a bite or two and start sliming. Salad I can tolerate very well, but you can only eat that so much before you get bored. All high cal stuff goes down like a charm...imagine that.
-
Talk about discouraged...well I shouldn't be because it's my own fault, but I TRY to eat healthy and lower cal, but we eat out so much it's hard to. Anyway, I've been exercising 2-3 times a week faithfully and I've actually GAINED 2.5 lbs. I'm back up to 209.6 as of this morning.
-
Congrats on your -75!!!! Way to go girlie!!!!
-
Well it's past that time here now that I've seen this, but Pam you can call me ANYTIME!!! Day or night...I'm here for you girlie. Everyone should have my numbers, but I'll pm them to you just in case! hugs! xoxo

I LOVE DANE COOK!!!!! YUM!!!!

We went to her appt today and the doc said that everything looks ok with her and the baby. They think she may have had a vagal response (similar to soldiers who stand too long and the blood doesn't circulate back to their brains), which is common with pregnant women, or she may have had low blood sugar. We bought her a bunch of snacks to have on hand during the day so that she has things between meals.... We saw the baby on ultrasound, still looks like a little blob but it had little arms and legs and was moving around LOL. She's only 10 weeks but she's gained 3 lbs, which she needs because she's always been a STICK. They gave her some work restrictions from lifting and prolonged standing, but released her back to work starting tomorrow.... On the other side is my other daughter who is doing fantastic. She's finally starting to gain weight now that she's 22 weeks. She had lost 20 lbs all together with the all day sickness, but she's gained about 5 of that back since she's been feeling better.

Did anyone hear that they found Heath Ledger dead today?? He was only 28 years old...that's so sad... Heath Ledger is Dead - TMZ.com - Entertainment News, Celebrity Gossip and Hollywood Rumors

The time before last that I went in was because I didnt feel any restriction after a fill. I went back in and there was only 1/2 of my fill left and he has no idea why...been fine since and have restriction so who knows where it went? He thinks maybe during my last fill when he withdrew the fluid it may have disconnected from the port when he put it back in, sending it back into my tissue rather than into the port. Don't stress out (easier said than done). Wait until they look into it more and go from there...Good luck!

Laura, I HATE that! There have been a few times that I'm sliming and can't even open my mouth to talk before I get to the bathroom. My family has learned when to shut up, but when I'm in a restaurant it never fails - someone TRIES to talk to me when I have a mouthful of spit!

Yesterday was supposed to be my day off - holiday and all. I ended up in the ER all day. My daughter had just started her shift at 10am yesterday. I had just talked to her right before she clocked in and she had just eaten some oatmeal and a banana, and she sounded just fine. They were having a meeting and her boss noticed that her eyes started to roll into the back of her head and her knees started to buckle. She was holding on to a clothing rack or she would have fallen, but her boss was able to catch her as she was going down, and laid her on her side. Kara said that she remembers everything tingling and she started to see black. She couldn't see anything and all she could hear was ringing in her ears. Next thing you know she's on the ground...her boss called me because Kara didn't want them to call 911. So I called her doctor's office and they said to take her to the ER, her doc wasn't in the office yesterday. Well we sat at the ER from 11am to 2am! All they did was an EKG, blood work and urinalysis. We sat in the waiting room ALL DAY, except when they called her back to do her EKG and labs. We got into a room at 12am, they came in a little while after that and listened to the baby's heartbeat with the doppler (first time she's heard it other than seeing it on the ultrasound). Then they told her that her labs looked ok, she's a little anemic, but they weren't too worried about it. Told her to make sure she's eating Snacks throughout the day and to drink plenty of Water, but she wasn't dehydrated. She has to follow-up with her doctor today at 9:30. What concerned me is that her hands cramped up and got distorted right before she went down...seems to me it may be dehydration or something neurological...but they said she wasn't dehydrated. Didn't even start an IV on her...it was a waste of time in my opinion. And they didn't seem concerned about her hands cramping. I guess I'm just a paranoid mother/grandmother. Anyway, I can't lay down right now because everytime I do, my head pounds. I have a headache that wants to go into a migraine. I've been rotating the Tylenol and Motrin, but it's making me sick to my stomach. I'm going to try and lay down in a few minutes. I'm going to stay home today and try to sleep this off. Have a good day Violets!
