Wooohooo! I put my deposit down on my lot today for my house. I sign the purchase agreement tomorrow. I'm so excited! We went with the new house...just seemed the smarter option for us right now. Happy Valentines Day everyone!!!!

The new house will be landscaped in the front, not sure how long it takes to mature. The back will be up to us to do, but again, we'll be putting in a pool in most of the yard and only landscaping part of it... I'm not sure what you mean by water rights?

Hi Kat, the existing house was built in 1985 and has a shake roof....it will need to be replaced within the next 5 yrs. It's a beautiful home, and other than the roof and the fact that the master bath has no tub, only a shower (and I'm a bubblebath kind of girl), I love the house. However like my hubby said, when you buy an older home, you buy the problems associated with it. The new house, which hasn't been built yet has a 12 yr structural warranty, a 2 yr warranty on appliances, and of course a new roof - but no pool. However the backyard is big enough that we can put one in within the next year or so....I'm so torn....I never knew there would be so many decisions to buying a home!

Not yet, Shannyne is having a boy - Blake Matthew. Not sure what Kara is having yet....she's only 13 weeks, so we'll find out in probably another 5-7 weeks. I can't wait! :biggrin:

I'm just able to eat way too much, so I do.... Kat - I haven't bought the grandbabies ANYTHING! I know that it's hard to believe, but I'm trying to buy a house and it's SO expensive....Had to put $1000 to hold the lot, and we're not even sure that we're going to buy a new house. Thankfully it's refundable if we choose not to. However it's a corner lot, and the model is adorable. I also found a re-sale that I fell in love with, but it costs more than the new house! Hell the new house comes with a warranty, the other doesn't...but it's pretty, huge yard, and has a lot of character. But the new house I get to watch build, pick out my appliances, carpet, tile, countertops, etc. Plus the older house will need a new roof within the next 5 yrs. We'll see....so no, haven't bought the babies anything because I'm trying to move BEFORE they're born! I'm buying both of their cribs, throwing both showers, and will surely spend a ton once we're in our house and they're born.... Everyone else, hello!!!!!!

Kat you should be watching 3:10 to Yuma too! That's a fantastic movie and I don't even like those kinds of movies. I loved it!!!! It has a great story line, sexy, sexy actors and it was just fantastic!

Also, I updated my weight ticker...my doc said the highest weight he had for me was not 266, it was 270!!! I can't even imagine that I was that big....still a ways to go though! It's hard not becoming complacent....

Happy Friday Violets! I'm going house shopping this weekend....I've never owned my own home, never could being married to the ex, but I've finally gotten my approval and I can't wait! This is going to be a good year, I can feel it!!! I was at the doctor the other day and he said that the lowest weight he has on record for me since 2000 was 199 - I'm only 5 lbs away from that! My short term goal is to be under 200 by my birthday, March 11th. I've got one month to get to work!!! :tongue2: Jennifur - let us know if you hear from the attorney today!!!!!

Hi Terry, I don't see her as much as I'd like to...she's always busy working or doing things with her boyfriend or friends....She hasn't said much about her relationship and I try not to pry much so that she'll open up when she needs to talk...thank you so much for thinking of her...I think about her daily, and I worry. The good thing is I'm just a phone call and a quick drive away if she ever needs me....I'll update you as I find anything out... Thanks again :eek:

TracyK - I'm glad that your dh is feeling better. Kat is correct, keep him hydrated, and when he's lying around, have him take deep breaths and cough (5-6 times each half hour). Not only will that keep his lungs in good order, that will help keep his temp down. Keeping well hydrated will keep the temp down as well. It's amazing how our bodies react when they don't have enough water!

2 pieces of pizza with buttermilk dip, 6 tiny spicy hot wings....shoot me now. I must need a fill if I can get all of that in...either that or I've stretched my pouch. :eek:
