Good morning violets!!! Well it's been a year since my banding as of today and I didn't quite meet my short term goal of losing enough to where I weighed less than 200 lbs, but I was CLOSE! This morning I weigh 200.8. I can take that.... It's been a long, hard road. I still struggle with the emotional component of eating, but thankfully the band keeps me in check somewhat. Now that I got a fill 2 weeks ago, I finally for the first time feel some REAL restriction....this is the first time since my banding that I've felt this way and I'm up to 3.6cc's in my 4cc band.... I started my journey looking into getting the band January 2007. At that time I weighed 270 lbs. Over the next few months I lost a little weight on my own, in preparation of getting the band. I didn't have to do a liquid diet except for the day before my surgery, or I would have lost more beforehand, but what I did lose, I lost by eating right. The day of my surgery I weighed 253.8, so technically since my surgery I've lost 53 lbs, but since the start of all of this I've lost 69.2 lbs! Doesn't seem like much in seeing the numbers, but it sure FEELS like a lot! I feel so much better...and I know that I look better too. I'm not going to get complacent here though, I'm still trudging forward! My next short term goal will be 175 lbs. Wish me luck! It feels good though because my daughter told me this morning that my ex husbands wife was saying how good I'm looking and that I look better than I did when she met me. My ex hubby says "I haven't seen her in a while, so I don't know how good she looks". His wife goes on to say to him "You don't need to see her now" LMAO! My daughter said she was cracking up. His wife and I are friends so I'm sure she was kidding but it sure makes me feel good! :grouphug: Happy BANDiversary to me and to my band twin TracyinKS!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! I'm here...haven't fallen off the face of the earth, just been REALLY busy! Between pregnant daughters, my house and my job it's been insane! Here's a picture of the house so far....actually this was a few weeks ago. They've already put the windows in and are finished with the roof now. They're getting ready to start the insulation and stucco....I need to update my pics! Here's a picture from my daughter's baby shower this past weekend...notice I'm in between both pregnant daughters with my hand on their bellies LOL! They're both doing wonderful and are both having BOYS!!! Yep, that's right, 2 grandsons this year! Wow am I going to be tired (and broke!)....Their names are Blake Matthew (he's due in 5 weeks) and Dimitri Andrew (not sure that I like the name, but he's due in 17 weeks so they have time to change if I can talk them into it LOL). Notice my t-shirt "Coolest Grandma around"!! hehe :tt1: I haven't much to say about the weight loss...still holding steady, but not losing. I just got another fill last week so maybe that will change....I find myself falling into some of my old bad eating habits, but I'm trying to keep that at bay.... All is well, and I'll be back more to post and catch up as soon as I get a breather!!! Hope everyone is doing well!!! :tt2:

They poured the slab on our house Wednesday and dropped the lumber so they'll probably start framing it in a week or so...here's some pics to share! I've been eating bad - too many things going on in my life. I need to get back on track. I want be be in Onederland by my 1 yr anniversary 4/26.

Ok girls I feel stupid - I'm going over finances today for our home loan and I realize (6 months later) that my raise I was supposed to get LAST AUGUST, was never included on my checks. I've been missing $104 every two weeks, for a total of $208 a month!!! In my defense, at the same time I had made adjustments to my 401k contribution and I guess I just figured that offset what I was supposed to get in my raise because I raised my contribution by $85 twice a month.... SO, in a nutshell, I'll get a nice sized check (probably $800 after taxes) of back pay on my check next week. AND I learned my lesson, do not just let the check stubs sit "unopened" for each pay period - CHECK them for inaccuracies..... Oh well, I need it right now anyway...LOL

I like that car, but what's it matter??? YOU love the car!!! My daughters will need something like that to lug their babies around...hehe :glare: Congrats! Isn't it wonderful having a new car??? They smell sooooooo wonderful!!!

Which is why I can't wait to be a Grandma!!! They get to take care of the babies, I get to spoil them. :glare:

Terri - I absolutely LOVE that!!!! I love metal jewelry...I just bought a cool necklace made out of metal from Chicos. So pretty! I wish I was more artistic so that I could make stuff like that.

Kat, They've already dug the trenches and framed it for the foundation and laid the plumbing. They were going to pour the foundation last week but it rained all week. This week is supposed to be sunny so they're pouring this week.... I go this Thursday after work to pick out my carpet, tile and granite for the counters...I'm so excited. Mommies are doing great...Shannyne is getting huge...she's 7 months as of today. She's excited but NERVOUS as heck! Here's a current picture of her out at the house site Kara's doing much better too...no more bleeding since January, so we feel much better. She's BARELY got a tummy, but she's a skinny minnie anyway. She turned 25 years old yesterday and is now 15 weeks pregnant...here's her tummy pic from yesterday...by the end of this the girls are going to be SO tired of me taking pics...but then it will be on to take GRANDBABY pictures!!! hehe
