The nannatobe is doing great! She's officially missed her period and we estimate her at 5 weeks preggo. My doc gave me a small fill - 0.2cc....I don't feel much different than before the fill...we'll see. His scale says I've lost 2 1/2 lbs in 3 weeks. Mine says I've lost 1 lb in 3 weeks...either way that's not acceptable for me! He said I need to up my exercise....I'll have to try and find more time.... Tracy your family is so adorable! You're both glowing! Congrats again!!!

Tracy, if it were the other daughter I wouldn't be thrilled like I am because I know what a hard life the baby would have. If it makes you feel any better, I've been a bad bandster for 2 weeks now. I'm struggling to stay at 217....I need a fill so bad.

Hi Laura, Yes it is my first grandbaby...it's the first on both sides actually. I wasn't "happy" at first, I was a little saddened because it means my baby has grown all the way up and she's only 19 and still in college. But she's thrilled, he's thrilled, and everyone is happy for them both, so I don't want to rain on her parade. I love her dearly and she's going to be a great mother...he'll be a great father - they'll be wonderful parents and I couldn't think of anyone else I'd want her to be with. I'm happy now that the initial shock wore off lol! Now I'm planning my revenge as a Grandparent hehe

No this is my younger daughter, thank god. She's younger but more mature and has a long time boyfriend who's thrilled about the baby. He works, she works, she goes to school full-time - she has 5 more classes before she applies for the nursing program. She's a good kid - young (19), but if it had to be one of the girls I'm glad it's her. She'll be a great mom and won't let anything interfere with her college. I'm so excited!!!

Tracy, NO! You're catching me too darn fast! My weight loss has slowed and I feel like I really need a fill, however I've been too busy to go in and I've been having a little tummy discomfort so I don't want a fill yet... You'll probably catch me by next week!!!

Hmmm...I've been having some tummy tenderness right at the top of my rib cage, with it radiating a little into my chest...I'm awful gassy too! Burp burp burp...anyone else burp a lot? I don't feel too restricted as I'm able to eat most anything, however there IS restriction, just not a ton of it...

WOWZER!!! Pamela is a HOTTIE!!! You look fabulous girl! Keep up the good work!!!
  19. I'm 41 and my hubby just turned 30. We've been together for 4 1/2 yrs and I wouldn't trade him for the world! I was in my first marriage for 14 yrs and it was a mess from the beginning. My ex is 43 and much more immature than my 30 yr old hubby. My new hubby is very mature, although he is a computer guy and a little on the lazy side (spends a ton of time online working and playing Star War Galaxies lol, but I'd rather have him there than in a titty bar with his buddies!). Anyway, I'm so young at heart, and I look a bit younger than I am, so we have a lot in common and we get along great...plus the sex is awesome

I thought it was quiet too! I had to be at a CPR class this morning - I haven't renewed my CPR cert in 4 yrs because I'm not doing direct patient care, but more of administrative/director position. However, my daughter is getting ready to finish her pre-req's and apply for the nursing program so she had to get her CPR cert, so I took the class with her...we were partners. There are some new things that I learned as they changed the compression/ventilation ratio and added the AED training since I last took the course. The one thing that I didn't remember was how physically tired I was after doing chest compressions and ventilation, AED and Heimlich maneuver for 6 hours! No need for the gym today - it was a great cardio and upper body work out! LOL *whew* :faint:

Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters

Wow this was a tough week...for the past 2 days I was having chest pain, but I knew it was from anxiety...I was SO stressed this week. My daughter came home - not sure if that was a good thing or not or if I'm making a huge mistake, but everything seems ok for now. I had to write up my receptionist - I couldn't figure out why she was 3-4 days behind in her assignments. I work for a managed care company and everything we do has timeframes set by the California Work Comp Labor Code. My nurses only have 5 days to address something and when the assignments are made they need to be current so that the nurse has time to review them. As it is, with my receptionist being behind they only have a day or two to review the medical treatment request. Well she called out sick (the day after the holiday weekend), and I was at her desk helping the gal who was covering her, and I see that she has 84 messages over 2 days back and forth between her and some guy she was apparently being VERY flirty with (mind you she's married). So anyway, I had to write her up because we're really not supposed to get personal email at work, I normally don't say much because everyone gets it, but not 84!!!!! I hate that part of my job... Then I was giving my assistant her annual performance eval and on attitude and attendance/punctuality I had to give her a 2 (less than satisfactory). OMG she acted like it was the end of the world and I was the worst boss ever. Totally threw a temper tantrum! Mind you, she's been late over 160 times in the past year and I've talked to her on several occasions about this so it shouldn't have come as any surprise. That's one thing that I don't do is wait until the eval to address things and then surprise the person. And she was SO dumbfounded that I was bringing up her attitude (again). I took that moment that she walked out of my office and slammed the door (I went to get her and bring her back), to use as an example of "bad attitude". She said "You don't expect me to be upset????" I said "Yes I do expect you to be upset. You don't expect me to be upset that you're late almost everyday??? And I'll tell you what, it's not the fact that you're upset, it's the way you've reacted to this and many other situations. Do you think that it would be acceptable for me to react to MY boss the way you're reacting here to me? I expect you to be upset, but I expect you to still be respectful and professional" Finally she calmed down and took "some" accountability. So last night my hubby and I went grocery shopping and my chest was just aching so much, so I came home and laid down. It feels better today, but I think not only was I just really anxious, but I feel like the muscle in my left shoulder got pulled too...it's still a little achy. My pulse and blood pressure were perfectly normal, so it wasn't anything cardiac. I'm just glad last week is over. On the good side, we've been down 3 nurses for a few months now (its tough finding good nurses. I have recruiters calling me trying to recruit me at least once a week because of the nursing shortage). I have 2 new nurses starting on Monday!!!! I'm so thrilled...everyone else is too as we've all been working hard and putting in lots of overtime. Anyway, enough of my ranting! I'm almost down 50 lbs....49.6. I've only lost 1 lb in over a week! BLAH! lol I'm down to 216.6 this morning. 0.6 more and I'll hit my 50 mark like Tracy! (She's working hard and catching me quick!!!!) Everyone have a great GREAT Saturday!!!!!!

I have lost only 1 lb since I last went to the doctor...he said I was doing good...well why the hell am I not losing? I'm hungry and can eat WAY too much! *sigh*
