Oh and also - My daughter's OB told us that she's A negative blood type, so when she's 28 weeks she has to have a special medication so that during this pregnancy she doesn't develop RH antibodies that can affect any future pregnancies and possibly attack her next babies blood if it's Rh positive. Below is an article describing it a bit better: What is my "Rh status" and why do I need to know it? Early in your pregnancy your blood will be tested to determine your blood type and your Rh status — that is, whether you have the Rh (Rhesus) factor, a protein that most people have on the surface of their red blood cells. If you do have the Rh factor, as most people do, your status is Rh-positive. (About 85 percent of Caucasians are Rh-positive, as are 90 to 95 percent of African Americans and 98 to 99 percent of Asian Americans.) If you don't have it, you're Rh-negative, and you'll need to take certain precautions during your pregnancy. If you're Rh-negative, there's a good chance that your blood is incompatible with your baby's blood, which is likely to be Rh-positive. You probably won't know this for sure until the baby is born, but in most cases you have to assume it, just to be safe. Being "Rh-incompatible" isn't likely to harm you or your baby during this pregnancy, if it's your first. But if your baby's blood leaks into yours (as it can at certain times during pregnancy and at birth), your immune system will start to produce antibodies against this Rh-positive blood. If that happens, you'll become "Rh-sensitized" — and the next time you're pregnant with an Rh-positive baby, those antibodies may attack your baby's blood. Fortunately, you can avoid becoming Rh-sensitized by getting an injection of a drug called Rh immune globulin whenever there's a chance that your blood has been exposed to your baby's blood. If you're Rh-negative and you've been pregnant before but didn't get this shot, another routine prenatal blood test will tell you whether you already have the antibodies that attack Rh-positive blood. (You could have them even if you miscarried the baby, had an abortion, or had an ectopic pregnancy.) If you do have the antibodies, it's too late to get the shot, and if your baby is Rh-positive, he's likely to have some problems. If you don't have the antibodies, then the shot will protect you from developing them. -

My daughter and I went to the Fresno Fair today - it was opening day. Anyway I ate LOTS! (about 2200 calories....) Anyway, we took pics of us just being who we are - dorks. Then we took pics with Al the aligator LOL After eating and walking around most of the day, we went to her OB appt. We will get to see the little tyke (won't be able to tell what it is, only that it's a baby) on October 15th. She's only 6 1/2 weeks pregnant as of now, by then she'll be 8 1/2 weeks so we'll see the heart beat too. -

I know it shows what a child I am at heart, but 3 years ago when my hubby and I got married, we played Metallica "nothing else matters" during the groomsmen walking down the isle, then when I walked down the isle it was Queen's "Bridal March" (all electric guitar), and "white wedding" by Billy Idol at the end -

Ohhhhhhhhhhh my ears are STILL ringing! I went to an awesome concert last night....flashback to the 80's when I was like 16 LOL I saw Queensryche, Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath (with Dio). It was great! I didn't realize how many old people (guys) have long hair in my town LOL Alice Cooper put on a fantastic show - I had a blast! But now my ears are paying for it! Today is the first day of the fair here in my town, so my daughter and I are going - then this afternoon she has an OB appointment so I'm going to tag along hehe I'm still at 213.8, but I haven't gained...I feel fantastic. I started a fitness challenge at work, so this week the challenge is for everyone to get in at least 64 oz of water, next week it's to walk a mile a day. I gotta get exercising! Last night I stood and danced through the entire 4 hour concert...does that count as exercise? LOL Have a great day violets!!! :clap2: -

TracyK you look absolutely amazing!!! You can tell so much that you've lost weight, but the biggest difference I think is in your face!!! You're so pretty, and I love the hair color!!! My hair is still falling out by the handfuls. It's really starting to make me nervous. I got into the shower this morning and washed my hair - about a 1/2 handful of hair down the drain. Then I get out and brush it, and lose about a brush full. I asked my hubby "will you still love me when I'm bald??" He looked at my hair and said "wow it IS getting thin hun...but yes, I'll still love you." What a guy...I just hope I can love myself bald!! -

I'm depressed...I'm back up to 215 (from 213.2) and I'm hungry. My last fill the doc would only give me .2cc and I feel like I can eat and eat. I know part of this is my lack of will power and I need to get ahold of myself. I've done great since I started this back in January, had my surgery in April and have done pretty darn good, until now. I don't know but I need to get a handle of my eating....I need to also start exercising. I'm going to go for a long walk tonight and I'm getting my butt up in the morning and am going to the gym....I'll drag my preggo daughter with me and we'll swim after the treadmill and bikes. Wish me luck! -

ARGHHHH (warning: FOOD PORN!)!!! I was bad and I feel SO guilty. They had a staff appreciation bbq at my work today and I had 1 bbq pork rib, spicy chicken breast, scalloped potatoes, green beans w/bacon, salad, and a piece of peach pie....then I ate dinner. I had like 1350 calories today!!! That may not seem like a lot to some of you but I try to stay under 1000 calories a day. Ok tomorrow is another day.... I hope everyone else had a great day! Mine tasted so good LOL -

Kat, With my oldest daughter, she was such a model child growing up. She was pretty good in school, involved in sports and cheer within the school and martial arts and equestrian outside of school. It was when she turned 17 that all hell broke loose. And I don't care what anyone says, just because they turn 18 doesn't mean that you don't still deal with their problems...My youngest started using drugs at 11, but that's because she hung around her big sister. However she quit everything by the time she was 16 and she's been focused on her school and the love of her life since then. Until now that is - with the baby and all. That kid beams from ear to ear...seriously she's absolutely glowing lately with happiness. Her and her boyfriend are so happy together and now they're going to have a family...I remember feeling like that when I was their age and having her.... -

Anti-inflammatories can irritate the stomach lining. My doc recommends Liquid Tylenol, but when I have to take an anti-inflammatory he said the Children's liquid Motrin is ok. Talk with your doc.... -

Kat, My oldest daughter still hasn't come home. She's staying with friends I believe - between her friend and her boyfriends house. I'm sure she's still drinking, but I've come to the conclusion that I'm not going to change her. All that I can hope for is that she'll get tired of it, grow up and snap out of it. All that I can do is be her mom and be here (to an extent) if she needs me. I talk to her several times a week and she's coming for dinner this weekend. Thanks for asking <3 -
