Any sleevers in the Rockwall, Rowlett, Garland, Mesquite, Dallas Tx. etc. area?
Huntingnurse replied to melinda48's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Sorry so long to answer lol. Everything went smoothly and i felt great as soon as i got out of Med Center Plano, where i could actually get uninterrupted sleep. -
Howd it go?

Yeah id like to eventually be around your build but i havent lifted in years. Hopefully what i did have will come back soon. Im just getting the ok to start lifting, but still have to hold off on my abdomen for two more weeks until its finished healing. So im thinking starting on legs, back, chest, arms since im a go on those.

@around - were you fairly muscular prior to surgery or did you add most of it after? How far out are you?

Anyone having these issues? Cold... Irritable..
Huntingnurse posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok so Im four weeks and a day or two out... Ive noticed I stay cold now when everyone else is warm - i used to be the opposite though. Also - ive noticed im canky/depressed/irritable/mad more than usual too... Anyone have this going on? Any clue ehats causing it? :-/ -
I havent lost for 8 days now... I know its to be expected but its still depressing considering what we put ourselves through physically... Plus passing up on our old favorite foods... Especially working in the NICU when a set of parents brings in a huge box of gourmet cupcakes :-/ . Im keeping around 800 cals a day, getting at least 72oz of water, and pretty much meet my protein goal of 60g. I know, i know... It didnt come on over night and i wont lose 100lbs in a month...i know stalls and weeks of not losing are expected... Just doesnt make it any less frustrating/depressing since thats two weeks out of the first month

So if your friend doesnt want to make it official and be your bf then hes probably getting very insecure that youll meet someone willing to make that commitment and youll leave. Thats on him. -

He needs to get over himself and his insecurities in my opinion. He shouldnt make you feel bad for losing this weight and feeling great about yourself imo. -
All of my December sleevers...

I feel ya. Trust me -
Its not just a "woman" thing. I don't mind people noticing but so far the only people who have noticed are co-workers on a small floor in a small hospital. Most of them knew about the surgery so it doesnt really count lol. One thing's for sure... I think i did the whole self sabotage on diets (and many other things) because Id rather be invisible and not have people approach or their attention... I must admit im scared to lose these next 99lbs because i wont be me anymore.. That big dude... People might actually flirt for a change... Or talk to or notice me... Its pretty scary. Its not something ive ever had happen so i have no clue how to handle it... Just my .02

Ok so... to have my surgery I had to pay the cash price for the assisting doctor which was $ 400.00 and was guaranteed that once insurance paid his fee then I would be reimbursed the $ 400.00. So I call my surgeons office today since I knew they had been paid from my insurance company. They proceed to tell me that I owe them money... They couldn't explain why and would call me back tomorrow on that. I owe them the money AFTER keeping my $ 400.00. My insurance paid everything it was supposed to! If they refuse to reimburse me then I'm canceling my follow ups for the rest of the year which should cost them roughly a grand and will follow up with someone else. In the words of Sweet Brown, "Ain't nobody got time for that!!"
