Mine was empty until my 6 wk check up. The dr said he wanted my body to adjust and time for swelling to go down before he filled me. When I was filled he only put in 3cc but it was too much n had to take out 2 cc so I've only got 1 in. It's good restriction right now. I go back on July 27 foe 2nd fill. My band was giving me restriction when it was empty. in saying that everyone is different n experience different things doctors usually decide by the person. but good luck n hope all goes well. U need to check on how much from a dr, nutritionist, or pharmacy tech. Vitamins r good in small amounts. I've taken classes in college about this n the vitamins that r Water soluble ain't to bad for ya if u get too much but the ones that r not (fat soluble) they r very dangerous ( one for example potassium). Well I was banded on may 18 n it was an emotional time but I didn't cry just second guess my decision. I don't regret it at all but I have noticed they I am very or irritable at times. When I catch myself doing this I try to step back cause my 3 kids n wanderful husband don't deserve that. I have a great support system n rely on my faith a lot. I'm talking about the glue not the strips, my strips fell off on their own.

I tried everything n the only thing I found to take it off was marykay oil free eye makeup remover. It came off by just rubbing with cotton ball no scrubbing. I have very sensitive skin n the tape/ glue always takes my skin with it even alcohol or baby oil didn't help. I wore it for 15 days post op n it started looking really nasty so from the advice of a friend I tried the Mary Kay stuff. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

My fill hurt. My doc didn't numb it???¥ I was expecting him too, he said next time it won't b as bad cause my tissue should be healed by then. I didn't have anything in my band n he put in 3 cc but was too much so he took out 2cc. He said my band was giving me restriction with nothing in it so guess that was good. Doc also said it shouldn't take much to get me in my "green zone" really good news!!! I've lost 37 lbs so far. When I started eating I gained 4 lbs but I'm losing again so happy for that. I haven't tried since I had my first fill couple days ago but to make it easier to peel peaches I boil Water and drop pack in for few seconds then pull it out n with my hands rub skin off. This is the way I can them to. Cool them in fridge or cook them either way. If u cook them smash with fork n enjoy. Very good n easy to eat. When eating banannas I split down center in 3 ways then pieces r perforated n much easier to eat ( I done this for my kids when they were small) my doc said feed myself like I was two, it's helped me a lot! I'm not sure what to tell ya but good luck n prayers r with you. I went today for my first fill n have lost 11 lbs since my 2 week check up the dr put in 3cc but way to much so he took out 2cc. He said my band unfilled was giving me some restriction n I might not need much more, u may b in similar situation. (hope I don't need much it hurt like something) my surgery was 5/18 n so far I'm down 33 lbs. good luck again n keep us updated.

My Strips ain't off yet either they just told me to wash In the shower n I need to let them fall off not pull them. Trim the excess or loose parts so u don't pull off accidentally. Good luck to all the me bandsters. U will so great ! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

Shy2012 When do you go on mushies? I think I do the first of June. From reading all of the stuff on here I have realized my dr is much stricter than some. I was told not eat peanut butter until a lot later and then maybe not then (didn't ask why). Did ur dr say anything different? I'm also not allowed sticky bread, pasta, or rice. They did say once I get used to my band then everyone is different and can tolerate different things. Oh well guess time will tell. I too am having trouble getting my liquids in. Tomorrow will b one week post op for me, but went to dr today n everything was good. Lost 3 more pounds! Total so far 23 pounds Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk

Well I am still a little sore but tolerating it, had my surgery on Friday n I must say I'm pleased with how good I feel. No pain meds since Saturday. Got to visit my family yesterday. I'm still not driving tho these roads are very curvy n they r doing a lot of construction so I figured prob too rough to venture off too town. My dr said absolutely no pills. Had to b liquid or crushed. I bet I signed 10 docs saying I wouldn't take pulls. They build up t top of band and will cause band slippage, erosion, or something else can't remember exactly. She said may not cause this until a while but it would eventually happen. You are doing same as me. I ranted to get facts and support before I told everyone. My husband of course new he supported me 190% could not have done it without him. After I got information about the band I've told a few more people, they too were supportive. Good luck to ya.
