Thanks BigDaddyJoe for the update!!! -
So I begin my week of liquids on February 27 th. that's next week! Holy cow! Again, I am a March 6th sleevette. I have collected a few more Protein samples I haven't tried yet- bunch of nectar flavors and a few Robb? Protein samples. Whatever that guys name is lol Anyway, you guys think it would be interesting to list out a few things about ourselves so we can get to know others a little better? I'll go first: I live in Idaho but grew up in Florida. My husband and I have 8 kids between us- one by his ex wife and three by my ex husband. The oldest is 17 and is autistic. The youngest is two! We love outdoorsy stuff- camping, walking, hiking, picnics... Can't wait to enjoy those even more in a few months!

Is it just me or does it seem like it will feel "more real" once we have to start that liquid pre op diet? Lol march 6th just feels so far away right now. -
Lol I suppose so

I love my husband and all but after reading this thread, I have to say, men are just... Weird. Lol

I Can't Wait To Not Have To...
bringiton replied to BrickHouse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't wait to not feel like everyone is staring when I look at clothing in any store. -
I was just wondering, with the amount of protein drinks right away and all, do you think the post op diet is expensive? Vitamins, supplements, shakes, et al. Surely this is doable for us "common" folk too and not only the Doctors and lawyers?
-
... And what did you lose the first few months? I know everyone is different but I was trying to get a rough idea of how my own sleeve might work out if I stay kicking behind for the first six months or so . I am 240 lbs right now and 5'5". Looking to get down to 150 at least. I will be a march sleever!
-
Yikes!! I didn't realize how incredibly expensive isopure is! $89/canister! Only 22 servings? Holy cow! They have muscle milk in large canisters too but I am not sure if that's a feasible protein source. I did try some sample packs and this mornings was cookies and cream flavored lean shake, gnc brand. Not too bad.

I have my surgery March 6th and I'd like to stock up on some Protein shakes before then. I've tried unjury, which I think are great, but I'd also like opinions from those of you that have taste tested. Which ones taste best? Julie
-
I am on March 6th too and in Idaho
-
I am 34 and I have never... Been in any kind of marathon Been out of North America Had a tattoo Had anything pierced beyond my ears Taken a dance/workout class
-
I just wanted to toss in my two cents on those I have actually tried: unjury vanilla and unjury chocolate splendor were great. To me they tasted very close to carnation instant Breakfast. Six star triple chocolate from Walmart I like too- very chocolately. Not as good as unjury but not bad at all. costco already made chocolate shakes aren't bad either. I don't really care for those EAS ones from Walmart personally.

Has anyone had a irregular period before surgery and now after the surgery you're period doesnt seem to stop?
bringiton replied to blkdiamond377's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just wanted to say that I also had horrible, heavy and long periods up until recently. I would soak through a fem hygiene product- of the highest absorbency, within an hour. I finally had the nova sure procedure done. Totally changed everything! Now periods are super light and short. It was wonderful. -
