Hi all- I am 10 days post op and have a few ?'s..................sorry if TMI, but my pee color has turned a real darker yellow almost orange...........I feel like I drink a ton of water/crystal light (much more than before surgery when I drank a bunch of soda)............shouldn't the pee be clearer? And my bandages are finally off and so are steri=strips. I am left with the "stickiness" gooey stuff on my skin-scrubbing it does not get it off for me? What did you guys use? I feel so dirty!

Real quick-I went to my post-op appt with surgeon today.........I am down 19 lbs in less than2 weeks!!!!!!!!! Yay for me!!!!!! I am so psyched!

One of my last straws is people assuming my DH is my brother!!!! DH is a good looking guy (of course I think so), he is fit, muscular-in shape, and I was over 350 lbs. I had many people comment about my "brother"..........even the surgeon the day of the operation (he had never met DH) told my "brother" where he could wait for me.......people just assume he's my "brother" and not my DH. REally is a blow for my self-esteem!

ok, question for you all.............i am 5 days post op........and i ate 1/4 of a chicken nugget tonight..........how bad is that? did anyone else cheat just a little??????????? i've been so good on the broth, jello, liquids, but i caved tonight and only ate 1/4 of the nugget-very small amount and i chewed a ton..............i feel fine, but what does this do to your band so soon? anyone know?

hi everyone- got home from hospital yesterday. still recovering. go back and see dr on tuesday. still in pain, taking tylenol w/codeine. more painful than i expected, but less pain than my csection. do u think i will be ok by sunday for niece's dance recital???

Stef- that's what i need to keep hearing-that you'd do it again..............i am soooo nervous! i just want it to be over with already!!!!!!!

omg, good luck to you!! i have to be at the hospital @ 930am. Surgery is set for 11am...........I can't believe I am doing this still..................

I can't believe tomorrow is my surgery-this time tomorrow it will be over with! I am sooooooo nervous. Started liquid diet today-and my head is pounding..................

Just got the call. I am approved for sure. Date is Wed., 6/13............ OMG-no one dies from this, right? I am sooo nervous................

yes, i have 7 kids at home! my 4 babies are the best-i adore them and i am so u nhealthy right now-i just hope i am making the right decision to live longer for them..............

ok, update. doc changed my surgery to this monday at 1030. gotta be at hospital at 9am! OMG!

I guess I should join you all...............I just got my approval-surgery is set for next Wednesday, June 13th...............I feel soo nervous. I know lots of people get this procedure done, but suddenly I am nervous about dying during the surgery! Anyone else feel this way? Any words of wisdom???

I am tentatively scheduled for surgery on 6/13 (still waiting for authorization). I will be staying overnight in the hospital after surgery. How will I feel on Thursday? Only reason I ask is my 4 year old is graduating pre-k on Thursday and is it totally unreasonable to think I will attend? I am assuming I will not be going, but I'd figure I'd ask those who have been through it........................How do you feel and how soon afterwards do y ou feel ok?

Does anyone have NJ Plus? Just wondering what, if any, there requirements were.............

I am just so afraid of death with this surgery...................anyone else scared of that, too? or am i just being a crazy person???? (I, too, was petrified of my c-section-i swore i would die during childbirth!) i mean, the chances are soooo low, right? this surgery just seems like it is a new lease on life............a jump start to a new beginning.................. i cannot wait for my consult on 3/13. i'm anxious to see what my insurance requires. i know they pay 100%, and i know i am considered morbidly obese. i do have high blood pressure, and luckily, no diabetes yet. i did get gestational diabetes with my quad pregnancy, though. hopefully, that has resolved. anyway, i'm so excited to even get down to a size 18/20............i'm inching up to a 26/28-ugh! sorry i am rambling..............

Wow, Kat, that sounds so amazing..............going from a 22/24 to a size 14. i'd love to see a size 14 again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all, I am still researching this LapBand stuff. My consult is 3/13. I hear many of you talk about fills-what are they? Do they make you less hungry? And as for the scarring, does that ever go away? Or just fades? Thanks!

Hi all, I am just trying to find out as much info as possible about this LapBand surgery. I have an appt for a consult on 3/13 with the doctor. I called my insurance and they will cover 100%, so that is good news. I am at my highest weight ever, tonight weighing 353 lbs. I feel horrible, lazy, and so blah! I can't wait to start a new life with this surgery. Hoping you guys can give me the real insight into the surgery and the aftermath. How did you all feel afterwards? Can you not eat as much as before? I want to know it all................

are there any risks of death?? i am so worried about that.........
