Craving Food
under construction replied to kysia81's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Since I am pre-op I wonder if I will experience something similar. I have heard that I taste buds/preferences may change after surgery. I wish I could offer some words of wisdom. I hope this ends quickly for you. -

Prior to surgery did you work on cutting out/down on sugars and breads? I've been working on this and have noticed my cravings have decreased significantly. -

I, too, am pre-op and have decided to go with BMI of Texas. I am currently going through the process and at present am waiting on approval from my insurance company. Dr. Seger is also my surgeon. My EGD procedure was done by Dr. Seger at Foundation Surgical hospital and I was really pleased. The staff was great and I have been called multiple times to see how things are going since the EDG was performed. No regrets yet.

When Did You Drop A Size In Clothes?
under construction replied to AliveAgain's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Although I am pre-op I have started working on changing my eating habits such as not drinking with my meal and waiting 45 minutes to one hour to drink after eating. Also, I began exercising. When I met with the dietitian on 2-20-12 I had gained a couple of pounds since my previous appointment. However, I lost fat and gained muscle. Does your doctor track this? -

Seeking Buddies 5'2" & Under
under construction replied to ladymacwhiz's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Count me in!! I'm 4'11 and pre-op. Being vertically challenged definitely presents its own unique challenges. I started the process in January and am presently completing all of the requirements. So far all is good. Today was my psych eval and first appointment of four with the dietitian which are requirements of my insurance. I hope to have surgery by the end of May or June. I'm looking forward to the journey.
