Is This A Problem For Anyone Else?
cmw10000 replied to It's all new's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I guess i was really lucky my husband would eat before he came home at night so I would not have to smell food cooking. But on the other side we have friends that the husband was (retired) Dr. He really frowned on the surgery and actually said (he and his wife are skinny) said that we eat salads and soup and I have lost 20 lbs...... Man what an inconciderate DR...... If eating salad would have worked I would not have had the surgery. Some people just don't get it....so maybe just avoid them for awhile. I did. -
I just went shopping today and I'm down another size, trying to by from the clearance rack to save money. But i love being able to shop and not get so stressed about it.

I looked at myself in a full length mirror yesterday for the first time since i can't remember and you know what I have really lost my tummy, my butt, my fat legs, what a change. My husband has really been a great support for me. I have lost 53 lbs and I hope to be at goal by Christmas 50 more to go. -
Hello, I'm 2.5months out and glad I did it lost 50 lbs. Dr says I'm right on track may reach my goal by the end of the year. Keep checking in It helps to chat with others for support.

I know this is new to you so let me explain. The bread will swell in your tummy and it will be very painful and if you are only eating liquids that means you had surgery fairly recently. you wouldn't want to damage your incision inside your stomach. be patient there is plenty of time... try some cream of turkey soup it will satisfy the cravings.... I am 2.5 months out and am still finding things that I cant eat. My doc and nutriionest tell me it will get easier down the road.

Just a quick note. Lost 48 lbs and loving it. I've gone shopping and love buying things that aren't followed by W's. I've had some burping issues so not only taking Pecid ac but Tums, has helped a lot. So glad I had the surgery it is making my life so much better. Will start working out tomorrow at the gym. Yes I've have been procrastinating with this but it's time to get serious. I would love to be at goal by Christmas or at least close. 55 more lbs to go. Could be possible if I really work out like I should. Wishing to all success!

Just wanted to post something positive. I'm feeling good lost 40 lbs. Started a membership at the gym can't wait to get focused on losing more weight. I've go to focus on my core. As I was shopping last week I found out that I don't have to wear women's sizes any more, no more w's for me. I can't believe it. I can finally see a difference and it feels great. Lots more hard work ahead but it is going to be worth it I'm on my way.

I started the gym today..... still may buy one thought it is pretty. -
You will probably be fine just don't get over heated as the anesthesia will still be in your system. I'd love to go too. Just remember liquid diet not easy to stick to when you are that new to vgs. It's hard to resist and if you do eat you will pay dearly for it.

It's been 8 weeks and I feel good. Lost another 2 lbs after nothing for a week. But it is coming off and I finally think that I have done the best thing I could have done for myself. I did take the time to re-read my handbook trying to stay on track. Just because I can eat what I want doesn't mean I should. Sometimes it's good to take a step back and reevaluate how, what and when I eat. Thanks to everyone for the support it really does help.

I wish the the best with your surgery. I am 7 weeks out and am very happy the results to far. Follow the instructions your Dr gives you and you will be fine. I have not told my Mother I had surgery and maybe never will. But my husband has been my rock thru all this. He is like a mother hen and I love him more for it. I've lost 27 lbs since surgery. My co workers are amazed and it has lit a fire under there butts to lose weight. My friends say I look younger, and at 51 that means alot. keep us posted on your progress. -
Take a break, Stop worrying so much... things will work out we have all done this to change our lives and it won't happen over nite. My doc call week 3 and 4 lost weeks your body is trying to figure out whats going on with the food it gets and what to do with it. I'm 7 weeks out and have found pork is to dense to eat. Ground beef is ok fish is better. If you like tuna, make tuna salad. Good Luck!
