I'll need to have surgery but I knew that going in.... My apron was already a problem as was my breast. Now I see my arms will probably need some work. But I feel so much better It will be worth it. Don't worry so much you will be better for it.

cmw10000 replied to lunabella007's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I was much younger I bleached my hair blond and wow I had such a crazy reaction from men whisteling and acting stupid..... flash forward to losing weight and I have not had to same reaction but most of my coworkers have been very supportive and my friends have also been conciderate and supportive. So take it with a grain of salt just think of yourself and appreciate the good will. -

Still Hungry A Month Later
cmw10000 replied to Blackstuff77's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well my Doc told me that 3rd and 4th week are lost weeks. all I can say is make a journal of what you are eating, there is something there that maybe high calorie or high in sodium. I was eating cream of chick soup and it brought my weight loss to a halt. As far as hunger not sure but i found my brain was identifying with the wrong feelings my tummy was having like gas trapped needing to burp. So just keep going you will lose the weight. Good Luck! -

cmw10000 replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have settled into 2 lbs a week with stalls sometimes but am happy with my progress. Sometimes I wish I could eat like everyone else.... but then I think look at how far I've come... and my attitude changes and all is good. Working towards goal maybe by Christmas keeping my fingers crossed. -
Wow, that's great weight loss. I do not wake up in the middle of the night bu tin the morning I am hungry, time for a protein shake and coffee. Then mid morning I will have an egg or something. Maybe just keep a shake in the fridge ready to drink that way not to many calories and its good for you.

My nutrionist said it is ok to add veggies I was going through veggie withdrawals lol but now I add some in a few bites with my protein seems to be satisfying me. Just keep track of your protein intake.

There are alot of things that aren't said in the dr office........ Your brain takes time to catchup with your body... depression is an issue.... I asked my dr and he gave me anti-depression meds.... you need to think about this it is hard to understand but your tummy is telling your brain that it is full but your brain is saying how........ just take some time and think...... you will be ok.... I had a reall hard time with realizing that food was not the most important thing in my life .. find some thing to take the place of food even if it is just going on line to chat with fellow sleevers.

I'm loving this new body.

I'm 3..5 months out and it does get better... but a word to the wise take it easy when you start eating, slow and steady is the best way. Low carb will really help with the weight loss. Less dense meat will go down easier. Good Luck!
