Help. Chunky Throat? Not Tolerating Water...
cmw10000 replied to LewsIn12's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've heard of this happening before it may be swelling. It sounds like warm liquids sooth your throat. And a lot of those liquids have citrus acid in them that could be causing the burning. Your body is in the healing stage it will get better. -
Great to hear how well you are doing. I wish you further success for years.

If nothing else try the gummy vites at least it will be something they also make gummy calcium its worth a try. I don't get sick but I really hate chewable vitamins......
-
I must be stronger than I think. Haven't been grazing but for snacks I have found that pepperoni bites are a great protein snack. Try to find snacks without carbs and there are other snacks you can eat that won't sabatage your diet. Learn new eating habits. And yes make an appt with the pys doc..... they will give you great insite.

Would You Do It Again For Just 70 Pounds To Lose?
cmw10000 replied to JLOR's topic in The Gals' Room
When I started my Journey I was looking to lose 100 lbs...... and most did not realize I needed to lose that much. I have lost 60 lbs and am so happy that I took that first step...,.... nothing I tried worked... just like you lose 30 gain 40.... it really sucked..... My husband was very supportive but sometimes showed resentment ...... He wishes he could do the same but due to health issues is reluctant..... But I am so glad I have come so far..... -
I've not excersiced at all but I have a 3 week stall..... finally I went back to basics protein and water and vitamins..... that started the weight loss again....... almost to 200 soon...... next week maybe.
-
Good Luck to you I know how you feel elated with the progress. I love my new body even after just 4 months.

I have lost 60 lbs total so far. My husband and daughter are the only ones I tell... some of my friends that are nurses have asked in a sensitive way and I have told them..... But I am not real open about the numbers... what you see is what you get.

cmw10000 replied to jasleeve's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Yea I understand your feelings. I did not have the complication You had and still doubted my decision to have the sleeve. But now I am so glad I did I could not have lost this weight without it. Good Luck with your recovery and future weight loss. Be Happy with your self. -
Well I told my husband and kids. Any other family has not been told. My work Peeps I told them Most are overweight and I had hoped to encourage them to get health as well. They are very supportive and I don't mind when they ask how much I have lost. It's very noticeable. When I changed shifts I didn't share quite as much but I will in time. Good Luck to all and don't get to weirded out by the attention. It's a good thing that we are loseing weight.

Kat, Your brain is trying to understand the new stomach. I was feeling that to but after a while your brain figures it all out that feeling will stop. And whether you weight your food or not you will learn when to stop eating. Its just a matter of your brain getting use to the new signals you stomach is sending to it. Feel better, Get better.

cmw10000 replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well hang in there. I just broke my 3 week stall. It was really stressful but I tried not to worry about it. -
Some one posted a meat ball receipe and i tried it. It was great. 1 lbs hamburger meat spices garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, basil mozz cheese split in half, and quarters and 1/8th s take each piece and roll, flaten, put one piece of cheese in middle cover and roll I browned in pan and then finished in oven at 300 for 20 minutes. They were great. My husband said you didn't put any bread in it? NO It can't be good, Then he tried them ...... Hey they are pretty good. I put some ragu sauce on them (2Tbl spoons) and some parm cheese. I can only eat 2 but they really satisfy and craving.

Well I had surgery on Feb 27 but my Pic was taken for my work id Aug 2011.... some one asked me who was that on my id .... I said the old me....lol .... and my friend said come get in the picture shadow of yourself. Yes I've lost 55 lbs and happy for it.... I've been in a stall for about 3 weeks getting back to basics protein, protein, protein few carbs may be this will give me a jump start. 45 more lbs to goal but I feel so good now. This is the best thing I could have done for myself. -
good for yall. I've tried to get my daughter to consider this or even the band but she is scared. She has to come off my ins in Nov... not much time. I'm so glad I did it.
-
Yes I'm in a stall but I am going back to basics no carbs, plenty of protein and lots of water. It's so easy to relax and not eat the right things but if you just look at what you are eating you will figure it out. Get back on track and the weight loss will start again. Good Luck to all having surgery soon!

my doc did not give me completely liquid diet I was allowed pureed veggie or fruit .... thank god for apple sauce.... anyway it wasn't so bad for me.
-
