    Most filling foods

It's true higher the protein the less hunger you feel and the lower food intake just happens

    Vitamins!!!

I take pill vitamins no problem, I take a multi d3 and b1. After a year on multi I was d3 and b1 deficient. Make sure they do your follow up bloodwork on time soooo important !
  3. I didn't hit my green zone until 9ccs. Could still eat full quick no sickies but they do it slow so you can adjust your eating without getting sick. It's better than getting stuck and different foods effect people differently so it gives you time to learn what you can tolerate

    Learn From My $16,000 Mistake

People responded harshly because of her approach. The life I want to live? Purée until my jaw hurts? If your band is adj properly and the right size those issues should not happen I know the live I don't want to live is being 400 pounds hardly able to walk or breathe or sleep or even have sex! My band helped me change my life. I am sad for anyone who didn't have the same experience, truly but nobody will poo poo me like a child because theirs was not a success. I am grateful I have it. I was near death in the beginning and if we could all just eat right we wouldn't have been obese to begin with. Share your story but don't condemn those that did well like we were wrong for it because our experiences are different. I have hadn't band one year next month I don't vomit I only PB (yes I say PB because it isn't vomit it isn't coming from my stomach it hasn't made it there) 3 times and I eat very normal foods, just less. I wish everyone the best in their journey whatever road that is.
  5. Mom of 3 you are so right that's one if the first things that improves lol !

    Lost My Tatas

I have gone from a 52 d to a 36 c and that's getting loose. I don't feel sad about it though only the loose skin that bothers me the gals just aren't as perky as they used to be

    Gall Bladder

I never had gallbladder issues prior. I was banded last November and my gallbladder failed two months ago. I was told a large amount of weight loss in less than a year was the culprit and it's very common. It was removed 2 days ago and I am healing nicely. Everyone said the surgery would be just like getting the band but I have to say being over a 100 pounds smaller recovery has been much easier than before. Excessive stones are not only painful and embarrassing but can eventually lead to rupture so I am so ok with having it removed. It is extremely common though so I wouldn't discount the possibility.

    Thank you!
  10. Wow that woman is lucky you are so controlled I would have called her on it! But people are just nasty sometimes you keep on going and feel good about you. If someone has never had a weight problem they just won't get it

    Constipation

It's really common for us when banded but I did notice that the more water I take in the better. I also started having a bowl of raisin bran everyday and calcium magnesium supplement. Those two with my cereal seem to have ended the problem for several months but I was banded almost a year ago a and I suffered for most of that year lol if you can tolerate cereal and can find a gluten free option it might help
  12. Chilis has a wonderful salmon with steamed broccoli I usually get. Most restaurants I get salad and chicken or a burger patty with cottage cheese, turkey or veggie patty if they have it. Chinese is pretty easy if I avoid the rice like shrimp or chicken with vegetables. I can eat rice but I am full in a couple bites without any protein do I avoid it.

Signs Of Being Hungry Or Full

Hiccups belching runny nose all signs of being full I have learned the left shoulder hurts me too when I an hungry really weird almost like after surgery pain. But I don't get that when I am full. Maybe there is more gas when it's empty .....

    Gall Bladder Issues Post Op

It starts small and very random. Chest tightness comes first like a pulling from my shoulders down then the radiating pain from my chest down around my ribs to my back. That's when I hide if I am at work or in public and quickly take my pain pill because next is the chills, sweats and nausea. The pain makes you rock back and forth and sometimes you almost pass out. The pills dull the pain but not the sweats and I think they upset my stomach even more. I thought I had a band slip, but then it went away and came back. I called my surgeon who sent me to the er for an ultrasound to check my gallbladder and it was toasted. The surgeon that is removing it seems to have a busy schedule so I suffer with the attacks that went from random to sometimes all day I have surgery August 20th and I cannot wait to be free of it. I lost over a 100 pounds and they said it was just too much for my gallbladder. Don't wait check it and get rid of it because it will get worse and the attacks at work and in public are humiliating

    New To This Whole Thing

The gas pain after surgery is awful especially in the shoulder just start walking as soon as you are able it will clear it out fast follow post op diet to the letter and then look forward to an amazing change.....

    What Is This Pain??? :-(

That's exactly what happened to me and I thought it was a slip but it was my gallbladder and it did get worse, later came the sweats and chills nausea and the pain would increase in intensity to the point where I could hardly walk or move. The attacks have progressed to multiple times a day and I am waiting on surgery. Get an ultrasound don't wait because if it is your gallbladder it will get worse and even the pain meds will not make you feel human
  17. I am just under a year out and I have dropped a 106 pounds. I have plateaud once but I just started moving again. The percentages are up to you I believe. When you level out change up calories and exercise and your body will move again once adjusted to the new weight but the second half is slower. Sometimes I hate being banded but I realized awhile ago those moments are when my old habits want to resume and I eat to fast eat the wrong things crave things that hurt me in the first place. It's a process of retraining and sometimes you want to revert and can sabotage yourself. I know I don't have the long term point of view as the others but I know for me my biggest obstacle is myself do know going into it you are going to have to learn to put the "fattie side" on time out a lot until she comes out less often
  18. Have to have my gallbladder removed aug 20th. I love my band but I was never told extreme weight loss can kill your gallbladder. I understand now a lot of bandsters have the option to remove it when they do the lapband and I wish I had been given that option instead of a second surgery and a deflated band for 4 weeks. A little nervous about the deflation but I hope my habits are strong enough now. The attacks are so painful though I am looking forward to having it taken out!

    Deflated For Surgery :(

The attacks were periodic but the other day I had two in one day then yesterday I had a progressive all day episode and it's true they do knock you down completely. I don't have surgery until the 20th and they are progressing quick

    Disheartening First Appointment.

The sessions and classes are normal and we did discuss what I would do with the addictive urges once I couldn't put them into eating. It is normal but mine were not quite as extensive as yours. As far as the loss I lost 105 in less than a year. Then I plateaued and now I lose 2-3 pounds a month instead of 2-3 per week. That is normal too. Losing is losing don't knock yourself down before you get there and remember its a tool not a cure, you still have control over you !
  21. It's life changing. My husband was scared too. Right before surgery he tried to get me to walk out. He went to the seminar and everything but he was scared but once I had the surgery and the weight started coming off he was right there with me happy I did it. He was never unsupportive but he said he would rather have me fat than dead. The fat will kill you anyway, it's just slower ....If he loves you he will get on board, maybe it will take living through the surgery to get him there but he will. If not maybe he is that person that would hold you back because of their own insecurities and you may find your new life will need to extend to marriage to. It does happen. But bettering yourself should not be thrown away because someone else is insecure. Not loving ourselves is part of how we got here, learning to is how we find our way out good luck hun.

    Deflated For Surgery :(

My gallbladder surgeon did not tell me to unfill but my band surgeon told me I do need to so I am going with it because I don't want anything to delay the surgery. I cannot wait to be done !
