I've had no issues with eggs. I've had them poached and scrambled with no problems. I frequently have 1-2 scrambled for breakfast a few times a week, although 2 seems to be a little too much (my dog likes when I cook eggs since she gets what I can't finish). I've always loved eggs and am glad that's something I haven't lost a taste for.

What Vitamins/supplements Do You Take (Brands/types?)
stephers replied to LoserMama's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I take the Bariatric Advantage calcium chews. I have all four flavors. The fruity ones taste like Starburst and the chocolate and caramel ones taste like, well, chocolate and caramel. They're all very yummy. I take the Bariatric Advantage sublingual B-12 and Flintstones chewables with iron. The bariatric Advantage chewables made me too nauseated and vomit. I've had no problems with the Flintstones vitamins, but may try Centrum chewables if the nutrition label is a better read. -
Went for my 6 wk post op this morning. Mentioned to Dr that I vomited (first time since surgery). I had said that the vitamins make me nauseated and she said I can do the chewable Centrum, or Flintstones. So I went to Walmart and got me some Flintstones since I've never had any problems with them in the past.

Lissa, thanks for the suggestion. I'll try them. Anything would be better than feeling like I'm going to hurl. So far it hasn't happened and I'd like to keep it that way. :-)

The Bariatric Advantage chewable vitamins make me nauseated too. I was taking two in the morning, but switched to one in the morning and one in the evening. Still got nauseated. I've tried eating before taking them to no avail. I think I will try and mix them in my Crystal Light drink or Carnation breakfast drink. If that doesn't help, I guess I will get the Flintstone chewables or gummies.

I eat three 4oz meals, two small protein snacks such as string cheese, and a sugar free popsicle. I have no trouble hitting my protein goals, but it's slightly difficult to get in my water.

I've been slow to lose weight also. I'll be 6 weeks post op on Tuesday and have lost 30 lbs. I started at 227 and have been stuck at 197 for almost 2 weeks. I too, have not been exercising very much and thinking maybe that will help boost the weight loss. I walk maybe twice a week. I've read that we have to be active, ie: parking a little farther away in parking lots. Since the weather will be getting really hot soon, already hot in Dallas, I'm looking at joining the recreation center since it's cheaper than the health clubs. My packet also stresses getting in your protein and water. Good luck and don't lose faith. You can do it. I'm going to my first support group meeting this week to hear everyone's successes and trials. :-)

My skin was normally kinda oily, but now it seems like there's enough oil to fry french fries. I've read some other posts and it's good to know that I'm not the only one with this problem. I hope that it goes away soon. Even though my face is oily as all get out, it doesn't seems to be breaking out as much as it was doing before the surgery.

TMI for some...but how do you smell?
stephers replied to Texasmom65's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My urine was smelling really strong the first few weeks also, but the smell seems to have lessened. Could it possibly be from the increased sense of smell after the surgery, or is it from the body adjusting?
