Not sure if it makes you feel better, but I LOVED it pre op (not to mention diet coke and beer). and haven't touched anything carbonated post. I'm 10 weeks out and, frankly, haven't missed it.

Flatout has a website...maybe they say where they sell it? Low carb wheat tortillas are close in nutritional value. Not quite as god as the flatout lite, but close.

Found a new fave item at the grocery store this week...flatout bread (light original). Great for pizzas, wraps, etc. I wrote a blog post about it, including a brief discussion on comparing the nutritional info on the various options in the flatout bread line. Anyway, I can only eat 1/6 of one (with toppings) at the moment (9 weeks out) - nutritional info attached. I'm going to post separately about Taco pizza I made using them last night. More info on blog at http://gastricsleeve4me.blogspot.com/2012/07/fave-alert-flatout-bread.html

Emotional Eating - Prepare For Life After Surgery?
Gastricsleeve4me replied to Scully's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm 11 weeks out and have been focused on this issue pretty intensely. For me, it's been all about: 1) therapy 2) journaling, writing, or listening to music to tap into the emotion I'm experiencing 3) being rigorous about not eating when I'm bored (I now only eat at the table) 4) finding new hobbies that are out of the house and do not involve food Weeks 6-9 were my hardest with this. Last couple weeks I'm finding I'm turning to journaling/writing first before food, so that feels amazing. Suspect this will be a long battle, though! -

Glad you found it helpful! Best of luck with everything...definitely try out different protein powders. Everyone is different in their tastes, that's for sure! Some people really hate isopure, lol. So try to always get mini versions to try first. Good luck with surgery! You're only 11 weeks behind me and I'm down nearly 50lbs...that'll be you soon too -

When Can I Have A Beer?
Gastricsleeve4me replied to TMyers1471's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
At about 9 weeks out I ordered a glass of red wine. As carbs and calories go, it's about as good as it gets (which doesn't make alcohol a good choice per se!). I drank SUPER slow, and only drank maybe half in a couple hours. I was fine. A little warm at some point, but not falling over drunk. Since then I've had a glass maybe once a week of there's an occasion that calls for it (work dinner, celebration, etc) and no probs and I'm at 11 wks. I did have a ***ht this week where I had nearly three glasses and didn't feel wrecked...but felt crappy enough the next day that I wouldnt do it again. Made me dehydrated and felt like I was catching up on water for days -

Awesome! They've stayed one of my favorites. I've slightly advanced to taco pizza, which adds flatbread and ground turkey...recipe on my blog too if interested. Frankly anything "cupcake" is yummy. I like inventing my own recipes or modifying which you'll see on the blog (http://gastricsleeve4me.blogspot.com) but you can also check out a TON of ideas at emilybites.com

Let's Try This Again...shall We?

Good luck! I'm 5'7" and started at 250...people I've told are shocked when I told them I had surgery, since they never thought I was "huge". But 10 weeks and nearly 50 lbs lighter, it feels awesome to get all the comments from people saying how good I'm looking. And shedding those lbs (I was similar sizes to you) pushing me into an 18 and soon a 16...and so on. It feels amazing and I say go for it. I opted to say screw the insurance process even though I have it, and went to Mexico. I just didn't want the hassle and was fortunate that it was an option for me. Something to consider if insurance doesn't work out! -

206.8...a 2.5lb loss. I've been feeling like 10lbs a month at this stage would be a good steady loss, so right on track! Though my labor day goal of 195 may be a little aggressive!! -
9.5 weeks and 42lbs...the 16 work pants (and at least one pair of jeans) have been resurrected from the closet!
