You look great! I had surgery 3 weeks ago and lost 14 lbs the firstb2 weeks, and then stalled for 1 week. I started out per surgery at 202. Is it normal to lose slowly with a lower BMI? I guess I need some encourement. Thank you! Sent from my iPad using VST

I am12 days out and nothing helped with the gas except pulling my knees up to my chest. I read somewhere to drink peppermint tea. I am feeling muchhhh better...so hang in there. Sent from my iPad using VST

Here are a couple of things I would change if I were to go back to Mexico and do over. 1. Make sure that my cashiers check for the doctor has the correct name on it. I wasn't given the exact information, and it caused a lot of stress on Mexico. 2. I would like for there to be a FAQ list that was given to me before I went to Mx so I would have a list to make sure I had all completed before I left. A list of reminders would have been perfect. 3. Take gas x...not that it worked for me lol...but the gas pain hurt sooooo badly. 4. Take dry broth packets so you can make hot broth in the airport. 5. Download on your phone or IPAD an app that translates English to Spanish. 6. THIS IS A BIG ONE!!!! Pain and Anti Nausea Meds---when will they be given to me??? Make sure you have a good discussion with Dr.Kelly about this. I have now heard of 2 other women who did not feel like they were given these meds that first night after surgery. It may have been a certain Dr...but Dr.Kelly has been told of this concern, and it is still happening. 7. Take an empire style dress(es) to wear after surgery so they don't touch your incisions. 8. Dr.Kelly does not want Omar to be paid extra for things that are included in his job duties. 9. Take a piece of hard candy so you can have something in your mouth after the swallow test!! This is all I can think of right now....Oh...I suggested to florence hospital to have their admission paperwork in English. My boyfriend who went with me is a cop...and he and I had to give them our licenses whe we got there...just didn't feel right....as well as signing something that I couldn't read. Overall, the experience was good...a little stressful, but good. AGain...these were my experiences and are meant only to help the next person to not have to go through the same things. CJ--I just had surgery with Dr.Kelly on July 2nd, and I also vomited the entire first two days...and nights!! It was horrible!!! We must have had the same doctor...who wasn't free with pain relief!! I am not nauseous anymore, but Each time I swallow food or liquid, I get a stomach cramp, and I can feel it going through my system and then it is done. Did you experience this? Yes, al The meds were included. No, we didn't have to spend the night in San Diego. In fact, our flight came in on Sunday and they allowed me to stay in the hospital Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, so we wouldn't have to stay at a hotel. My surgery was on the Monday. Sent from my iPad using VST

Still looking--- for me...I was very happy to be in a hospital. I felt very sick until the third day (from the gas they pump into your stomach before surgery). dr.Kelly visited me in the hotel as well. There are some things I would make sure were all organized before going. I suggested to Omar that it would be helpful to have email stating all the information...like FAQ. I should have mde sure all was organized...but....Dr.Kelly did a great job, and his wife CeCi was also very good. Sent from my iPad using VST

I just returned from Mx yesterday. Get a little bag of sugar free candy to put in your pocket. You will love this after drinking the horrible drink before the test foe sleeve leakage. Gas strips Tea bags, sweetner Some dry broth in a Baggie would be good when at the airport because you can buy a cup hot Water and have your own broth!! I was veryyyyy sick after surgery with gas pain, vomiting,dry heaves...but on the third day was much better!!! Sent from my iPad using VST
