They finally called me a week ago and questioning the antidepressant that I take. She said that the social worker said I was not depressed and that was conflicting information. She ordered me to have a pshychiatrict evaluation by an actual pshychiatrist. I had that done Monday and now my chart is back in the hands of the medical director. They made it sound like I was going to be approved as long as I have that Eval. I was hoping to hear back before Christmas but no luck. Thanks for asking. Sent from my iPhone using VST

I just finished and should have a surgery date within a few days. I struggled with the weight loss as well. I actually gained weight too but they told me as long as I show a loss I will be ok. About 4 months in, I had gained 6 lbs and I cut out carbs and reduced my calories to 1300/ day and managed to bring my weight down to 3 lbs below my starting weight. It was not the 15 lbs they wanted me to lose but they accepted it. Sent from my iPhone using VST

Had my pshychiatrist appt today. It really wasn't that bad as fat as the interview went. The bad part was filling out the test that had 567 questions. OMG! I thought my arm was going to fall off. It will be submitted to the surgeon's office by Friday. I hope to have a surgery date by the middle of next week. Say a prayer for me. Sent from my iPhone using VST

So I got a called from carewise today hoping it was good news. The Medical Director has reviewed my case finally. They asked me about being on an antidepressant and who prescribed it. I have been in it for 4 years. Well since my Eval by the social worker says I am not depressed, the medical director sees that as conflicting information and has ordered me to have an evaluation by a psychologist. Once they have that Eval then I am approved. At first I was very upset but now that I have calmed down, I am ok with it. At least I know this is finally going to happen but not as soon as I had hoped. I am hoping to have surgery by mid January. Sent from my iPhone using VST

They returned my phone call from this morning and of course I got the same story. The medical director has had my chart for almost 2 weeks. How long does it take to review? Should I be worried? I was told that it would take no more than two weeks to be approved and here I am almost 1 month later. Sent from my iPhone using VST

How long after you finished Carewise did it take to get your approval? I was done 3 weeks ago and have not received an answer. They have scheduled my pre op and post op call but can not tell me if I am approved or not. The surgeon's office can't believe how long it is taking. I spoke with the documents manager Wednesday night and it has been passed on to her team lead. She did not say that anything was missing but I should hear something by Monday. It has been two weeks since they submitted to insurance and I still have not heard anything. I have tried to call several times and I just get voice mail saying that this person is helping other callers. When I speak to someone else, they just send me back to where I started. Self pay isn't an option for me. I am praying that they will approve me. My dietician says that there are not red flags and she sees no reason for me not to be approved. I have seen other be approved with a smaller BMI and no other issues be approved. Sent from my iPhone using VST

I am about 1 month out from being submitted to insurance. I have my psych Eval on Tuesday and am supposed to have the nutrition class also if my work schedule will allow. I am struggling with the weightloss. I have worked my fanny off working out and counting calories and have nothing to show for it on the scales. I feel it in my clothes though. The dietician says as long as I don't gain weight I will be fine. I just don't know. Worrying about this has caused me so much stress. If this does not work out, I don'y know what I will do.
