I have a vlog. Just don't type in your name. Like mine is "shesstrangelynormal" and if u vlog u don't have to"tag"urs if u don't want to. A tag is a word that, when others type it in search, pulls up different videos. For instance I tag mine as follows : + shesstrangelynormal +wls + weight + loss + surgery +vsg + vertical + sleeve + gastrectomy U don't have to do that if u don't want to

Crazy Vsg Questions
StrangelyNormal replied to DeterminedGirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No one said this ago I thought I would. Statistically only 3% of obese patients will maintain weight loss. Sure we can lose the weight , but maintain it? Only 3 of every 100 will. -

Do You Recommend To Purchase The Extra Coverage That The Doctor Offers In Mexico.? B
StrangelyNormal replied to thetruedream's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I disagree. u can get a roundtrip flight from 200-500$. If u have a leak or something major Ur medical bills will be way more expensive than that. I'm fortunate that who I went thru includes it in the price automatically. I went thru mexicosurgerysolutions.com and u can bet if I have any major complications I'll be going back for them to take care of it -
"A few days later, there was a lady who came that brought 3 family members with her, and Omar was run into the ground" (followed by a list of everything Omar was doing, which looked as of it was all BC of the lady with the extra ppl) Like I said, it was the WAY she worded this. It hurt that woman's feelings. And instead of anyone being nice to her she got run off. Which is what too many ppl on this forum do. By the woman's post u could tell she was upset and offended and then instead of a real apology ppl kept dumping on her about how she was taking it wrong. Right then someone could have explained that sunny was not just referring to her, but to everyone etc. but like always it didn't happen.

Hey y'all just send me an add request on Facebook and I'll add u. We'd still welcome u even if Ur a June sleever, silly. You will just be a bit ahead of us
-
I'm sure it was directed at me but I certainly dgaf. What sunny said could have been worded differently. Period. It was blameful. All that needed to be said is that Omar had his hands full with so many people. Simply enough. It hurt that lady's feelings to the point she deleted her post. As for the people i'm bringing, they will be entertaining themselves BC this trip is about ME and my surgery. They will be a great help if I need it while i'm at the hotel. I am staying longer BC after my surgery I am going to have an eye exam for lasik procedure. I explicitly requested a date where my surgeon and staff aren't overly booked
-
I concur. my patient director knows I have 2 others coming with me and are staffed accordingly. The only reason i'm bringing a second is so my support person isn't in a foreign country alone and bored if i'm too out of it
-
"run into the ground"and "running himself to death"over another family is worded much more harshly than "monopolizing resources". I can see why she got offended.

Are u added now

Travel / Surgery Insurance?
StrangelyNormal replied to ATLSara's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Yeah, Jennifer, people do that. Some ppl , like Almanza's patients, have to pay for their premiums in order for him to cover complications. Others, like my Dr, (Gonzalez) will take care of any complications all it costs u is the flight -
And apparently she felt upset enough to remove her post. which nobody on this forum should have to feel like
-
No, it wasn't what sunny said. It was how it was said. When I read her 1st post about the other family it reads like Omar was being overused. Period. And the blame was solely placed on another family. And not worded in any nice way. We forget that when we type things out nobody knows the author's intent and I can see why it was offensive

It's called medical tourism. Becoming more and more popular
-
The surgeons have about 7 yrs more experience with the sleeve. The cost of living there is a fraction of the cost hence the surgery costs being so low. U actually have better care such as more attentive nurses and Ur spouse is catered to. I'm documenting my surgery in Mexico on YouTube. Www.YouTube.com/shesstrangelynormal is my channel

Considering All My Options: Mexico Vs. Us
StrangelyNormal replied to WLJourneyJ's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I dug around and decided to go with Dr Gonzalez a member of the Baja med group. Zero death rate. 2000+ sleeves under his belt. No infections or leaks. He uses the covidien tri-staple I wanted and I'm having my surgery at the MAR Surgery Center. to notch all the way. -
You're welcome:)
