Hi, Howdy, Hello
StrangelyNormal replied to StrangelyNormal's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
wow, My name is April Davis Gilley....hmmm... maybe we're related. I looked at Almanza for mine but there were some aspects that I didn't care for so I am Going with Francisco Gonzalez, with the BajaMed Group. People knock Mexico but it is because they are uninformed. I plan to go back to the same group for Lasik and then Plastics. U just can't beat the experience and the price. It was great to meet y'all and don't be strangers -

I Feel Like A Failure
StrangelyNormal replied to shrinkinmama's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
food has been your friend, your outlet for so long that food is where you turn. This is why we need to see a counselor or therapist. They help us to let go of the codependent relationship we have with food. Personally, I already see a counselor and I take Abilify, and I havent even had my surgery yet. But I know that I have to learn to hold my sky up. You too can learn that food cannot be ur comfort anymore. I'm not saying you need meds bc I take them, but you do need guidance and a therapist and nutritionist will provide that for u. This site is a great resource, but you need to go a step further and talk to a professional. We will always be here if u need to vent and if you need to, contact youp pcp and she/he will help you -
I really would love to be a french maid for halloween. I think my guy would love it...That would be a kicker lol.

Things I can't wait to do!
StrangelyNormal replied to Fusilli66's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't wait to be carried over the threshold when we marry -
honestly, I havent had my surgery yet but my close friend said she has to drink protein drinks constantly thru the day, otherwise she's pooped. She started using the body by vi shake mix bc it is the only one that gives her energy and she says tastes good, when shes at my house shes always got her shaker cup and her shake mix and a different flavor packet of sugarfree pudding mix. i asked her what the pudding mix was for and she told me that she puts a little in with her vi shake and gets a different flavor every day...so I thought I'd pass that along

Ive Never Had Any Type Oc Surgery
StrangelyNormal replied to Amytequilahouse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hmmm... I guess it is different for every one. I'll be wearing a gown then I'll lie down n be washed and draped with a 10x10 opening for the procedure by a nurse. Once I'm ready it's go time -

I'm loving this so much and laughing like mad. I couldnt imagine being stuck on a zip line or anything like that, and it is funny in retrospect but I'd have been freakin the heck out. My # one thing I can't wait to do is ........ walk without my sexy companion dressed in red.... my red walker. I dont have to use it every day, but I do need it more often than I'd like. Once I lose weight and take some of the pressure of the nerves in my spine I believe the spinal stenosis will no longer rule my life
