I haven't been banded yet but I just started insanity two days ago. it's tough and I have to modify moves but I'm gonna do it at my own pace. just wondering if anyone else is doing it whether your at goal or not

because I am going on vacation in August and don't want to be far from home while recovering I could of gotten it August 2nd. sept works best for me

I am also getting banded in September! I have my upper gi, chest X-ray, phsyh eval, ultrasound of abdomen, and nutrition counseling and blood work done. my sleep study is June 21 an my endoscopy is July 5th I'm sure I could get banded sooner but I am going on vacation in August. I don't want to be far away in the healing process . good luck to you all !

Got my letter of medical necessity & physical today. tomorrow is my pulmonary appt , June 5th is my support group, June 12th is my endoscopy, and 2nd out of three nutrition appts on June 18. Ive been doing great with my eating the past few days I'm on a roll & I'm so proud of myself.

I went back and fourth with myself about telling people. at first I didn't want to tell anyone but i told my family and boyfriend and try are supportive. I told a few people at work and a few friends and they all said "don't do it " everyone knows someone who knows someone who died blah blah blah. I basically just told them to shut up & it's my choice and to piss my a$$ lol

yes it's different. endoscopy is when they put a camera down your throat. mine is June 12th I'm kind of scared but from what I hear your asleep

wow my appt was very different I mean he asked me about my medical history but besides that we just had general conversation he'd ask a few questions here and there about weight but mostly about my family & we talked about the my. daughter. and I had a ten question test to take.

I had my upper gi today and omg I wanted to puke ! it was so thick and he wanted me to drink it fast I felt sooo sick ! glad that's over

I have begun the process of getting my band I am 22 5'6 & 261 lbs my goal weight is 160 so I've got about 100 to lose. I had my first consult last week and I have set up all my appointments for all the test I have to do. my psych eval is today and tomorrow is my upper gi, chest X-ray blood work & ultrasound . I am so excited to begin this journey and I am inspired by so many of your here!

I decided to have surgery so I can feel good about myself. I have been so depressed and unhealthy for so long I am ready to get out of this slump. I avoid picture completely now. I want to be able to run around with my baby girl without getting winded I want to feel beautiful and I want to be healthy.

I had my first consult and appt with nutritionist last week. I got my check list of things I need to get done! I was happy to learn I lost 3 lbs when I got weight I am 261 just two weeks ago I was 264. I have my bloodwork, upper gi, chest X-ray , and ultrasound of my abdomen scheduled for Thursday ! I have to schedule my pulmonary, phyc eval, and gastro appts for next month! I also have to attend one supprt group before surgery. I will have to see a cardiologist but closer to my surgery date. I could possibly have my surgery in August but I am looking more for sept I am traveling in August . I am so excited I have already started to change my eating habits! I'm on a roll!

I had my first consult today ! I am so excited! I absolutely love my surgeon Dr. Katz he is awesome and one of the very best ! his team is very through and make you feel welcome and at ease. I was given all my work up things I need to do I will be making these appointments ASAP !
