Wow. I'm glad your okay

I'm in Philly !

I'm four days post op and Starting yesterday I've been getting hunger pain so bad it's making me nauseous. I'm hungry but of course I'm not going to eat . Nothing even really sounds appetizing because I'm so nauseous. My stomach is growling so loud. I haven't eaten real food for six days. I'm also having such a hard time getting all my fluids in. Today my pain is down but these hunger pains are killing me. I'm on all clears until Thursday then onto full liquids. Any suggestions on what to do for the hunger pains ??

This is the story of my life! I work in a hospital and if it's not patient families brining in treats it's supervisors catering famous Dave's or a co worker bringing in goodies. i was just banded on the 6th I go back to work on the 17th I'm almost positive there will be something there! I'll just have to stay strong

I'm three days post op & like you the first day at I was fine besides soreness but once I got home it was a whole different story. it is important to rest rest rest. Walk when you can but your body needs to rest. I keep saying that to myself everytime I get up to try and get my daughter. It's hard for me not being able to be the mom I usually am to her but If I hurt myself then what good am I? Rest up foster mama . I was told for the liquid diet the first week post op that I needed to get AT LEAST 60oz in. I am not allowed protein shakes until week 2. but every doctor in different

So I just got home from the hospital a few hours ago everything was fine I was so happy to see my daughter. On the way home we dropped off my prescriptions. the Walgreens is literally one minute away from my house so I told my boyfriend just go pick them up and I'll stay with the baby(he would only be gone 5 mins) he insisted on taking the baby but I demanded that she stay. Big mistake. She was so happy I am home and she's reaching for me but I can't pick her up. I get on the floor with her but it wasn't enough she wanted to be picked up. I immediately started having a panick attack. It's a horrible feeling not being able to pick her up and from me crying my pain kicked up a lot. ugh never again . okay I'm done being stubborn. I need to heal properly. Please people don't be like me let your body heel and relax. I'm only one day post op & I could of really hurt myself.

Thank you & yes the liquid diet was absolute torture for me the last 4-5 days on it. it took extreme will power but trust me stay strong the feeling of that small accomplishment is well worth it! Good luck & hang tight

I can officially post in the post op section! Arrived at the hospital at 9am went back for surgery Around 11am and woke up around 1:40pm. I am banded !!! When I woke up I thought omg what the hell did I do to myself . Once I got that pain medication in me I changed my mind lol. I feel awesome I'm so blessed and thankful. I'm ready to begin this journey with massive success like many of you ! :) ps. I'm a little loopy so please excuse me if this isn't making any scense .

Thank you hls50. I'm overnight. Can't sleep to well. I'm really missing my daughter I'm rarely away from her overnight. I'm feeling pretty good my port site is very tender that's my only issue right now. How long until it becomes a little less tender?

Good luck tomorrow ! I was banded today and besides a tender belly I feel awesome. maybe it's the morphine lol

I know there is a thread like this already but I'm using my phone and it's acting weird so I can't find it. I'm getting banded on Thursday and have so much to do before then so I want to pack my bag today. What should I bring (I know the essentials such as clothes and toiletries )? Anything a must have after surgery ?

Lol Well she said she was on the liquid diet and sugar free Popsicles made me feel better during my pre op diet. Just a suggestion. LBT Is a great support site but I wish you luck in finding another one that better fits your needs.

Just got the call I have to be at the hospital at 9am for surgery. I'm like in a state of shock so to speak. I'm excited but nervous. I've worked so hard to get to this point. See you guys on the other side ... !

That is awesome! Keep up the good work. Today at work someone brought in a "sophisticake" . The woman who makes these cakes is very well known in my area any special occasion that i need a cake for she makes it and let me tell you they are the best damn cakes I've ever tasted lol but I didn't touch it. was so tempting tho
