    Completely frustrated.

I do want to add, that I k ow the band can work and it did work for me the first eight months before it broke. I am praying for insurance approval to have it removed and have RNY done. Sent from my SM-N900T using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. People keep saying it's my fault my band keeps breaking. It's my fault the nurse practitioner broke the port to begin with, just right months after I got it. It's my fault that when True Results repaired it they put in to much chord and wrapped around itself and broke off the band and apparently it is my fault the surgeon than had to move the port to my right side where it pulls and pushed all the time and keeps causing me to aspercream into my lungs and have multiple rounds of pnumonia and bronchitis for the last three years. I just was this thing out if me! I walk over 7000 steps a day (until my foot was crushed a year ago). I didn't start eating breads and pasta until after they told it needs to come out. I didn't drink carbonated drinks until we knew the whole system was already compromised because of the location of the port. But, yeah it us my fault that True Results screwed all of this up and then closed up and ran away. The two surgeons that worked on both disappeared as well. But, yeah it is my fault. Bull****. I realize a lot of people screw up their bands, but people need to know that True Results also screwed up the bands. I recently had a hip cray and the cray shows a port in my hip cavity! I have had to use an inhaler since January 2017 because of the aspiration. I wonder how many other are having problems because of True Results care. Year Mark Approaching

    How are you now?

    Anyone still around?

I have had yow repairs and been thru way to many nurse practioners and now have to choose a new surgeon. Because, it takes so long to prove you band is messed up I have spent the majority of the last three years with it not working properly. Then by the time it did work again, we overfilled and to go to ER. I'm finally at restriction and starting again. What's your journey been like? I just lap band, nothing else. I'm wishing they would have done more, but can't afford the surgery.

    Mentally struggleing

My band just had her three year birthday. I had her fixed for the second time in Oct. 2014. She is restricted, but man my willpower sux. I hit that three mark, stepped on the scale 10 pounds less than the birth of my band. Up until the the secound corrective surgery I had done great with my diet. I never drank pop, I limited myself to the amount of sugar I had daily. Then suddenly I felt like a failure at this. I still fill like a failure. To the point that now I am being the failure. The band is finally working correctly and I have given up after three years of trying hard to loose it with NO progress (keep in mind during the three years I have had a total of four months being in the sweet spot due to repeated band failure). I am so grateful for the surgeon to repair the band twice at no cost to me. Now, here I am screwing up and have no willpower left. I want it, but I don't "see" it happening for me at this point.

Port repair number 2---am I nuts?

So...in August 2014 I found out I had an issue with my port again. Dr. Beinivedes in Richardson, Texas, admitted that he made a mistake with my flipped port repair in August 2013. In September 2014 he performed another surgery to try and fix the port, at their costs. This time he moved the port to the right side of stomach (instead of the left). He told my husband that he used to much tubing in the first repair. This surgery involves two, two inch cuts in my stomach to move and and replace the port. I am wondering......AM I THE ONLY ONE this has happened too. i am done with WLS if this one doesn't work. I am sure the next surgery will be the eventual removal. Until then..maybe I will loose weight. One week later, I have pain in the center of back that won't go away. My stomach is still bloated and I have a fever of 99.2 (my normal is 97.3-97.6). They agreed to pay for their mistake and I said, "Oh okay, no problem." But this time I am not recovering as well as I did the first two LB surgeries.

    removal or fix it again?

Well.....I had it fixed. My port is now rerouted to the right side instead of the left. The surgeon had used to much tubing when he repaired a year ago. I am one week post op and I still don't feel well. My stomach is still bloated and it is hard to eat.

    removal or fix it again?

I found out that where the leak is, they replaced the chord and plug last summer. But the chord is not attached to the lapband properly. Again, not my doing.

    removal or fix it again?

One year ago I had surgery because the port flipped. I found out Friday that my band has leaked out the fluid and has a kink in the tubing. I have two choices, pay to have it fixed or removed. I want to hear peoples thoughts on life after it was removed. (I still weigh what I did the day of surgery.)
  14. And another complication..line is kinked and fluid is not in my band. They have got me to restriction twice in two years and both times something happened to the band.

    Kink in my tubing......

Nine months post op by port flipped..it took four months to get them to fix it. It is exactly one year post op and now I have a kink and another leakage in my band. My wieght is exactly where I was two years ago.
