Day 5 Post-Op Heartburn, Refluz And Indigestion.
Bigfluffsmom replied to midnightmama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon says no more fizzy soda drinks ever because the gas you consume stretches your stomach.... So I don't think mixing yr protein that way would make you feel very good; especially so soon after the surgery. -
Can't stop crying today. My pouch is full but my big fat belly is growling. My throat aches trying not to cry. What can I do ????? I feel so hungry.
-
The hunger is lower down in my tum.... Not in my new pouch bit. But it feels like its dragging my whole body down.

Really Need Advice :(
Bigfluffsmom replied to leighx's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can now seem to drink fluids freely after only five days. If this happens when I'm back on "solids" then all I've achieved is a calorie controlled diet after all. Could I have stretched my new belly already with liquid ?? -
Think ice is going to be my saviour. It's cooling my sore insides and helping me to get my drinks down ok. Quite refreshing.

Had my op yesterday and not feeling very comfy today. I just threw up my pain meds which has hurt my tum. At the moment, I feel so bad. I hope this is all worth it ????.

Newly Sleeved

I just can't stay awake. I'm nowhere near my fluid allowance and feeling really weak. Can feel every single sip going in. Can't do more than three in a row. I feel thirsty enought to down a pint in one go but I know it won't happen. The pain is more discomfort than anything. Just had a little walk in the garden and burped for England which hurts a bit. Dissapointed to only be a pound lighter. -
I - if yr having surgery on the same day as me I would live to hear from you.... Know how you feel right now. Look forward to hearing from you xx

Two weeks tomorrow is my surgery date. I am so nervous. Please tell me about anaesthetics. That's the thing I fear most. Think I'll be ok with any pain...
-
Thank you Lissa. I never had surgery before and have never been "knocked out". I heard scary stories of people claiming they were awake during surgery and felt everything . But they were paralysed by the anasthetic so could shout out. Doctors say this isn't possible....

My op is June 20th and the surgeon wants me to lose 14 lb by then. If it was that easy I wouldn't be having the surgery eh ? Did you guys have to do a special diet beforehand ? I don't think we do a liquid diet pre-op in the uk.
-
When the op is done, what painkillers can you take? Soluble will be fizzy and tablets are solid. Seven weeks to wait and very scared but excited too
