Im 25 today and ironically down 25 lbs now on solid food as tolerated! And doing great! Im no longer in the what did i do stage and a belt hole tighter! Woohoo!

I finally completely got rid of my gas pains about day 8

MY MOM WENT TRU THIS IN THE BEGING AND HER DR TOLD HER THAT SINCE SHE WAS EXERCISING SO MUCH THAT WEIGHT LOSS WASNT GONNA BE FAST BECASUE YOUR BUILDING UP YOUR MUSCLES AND MUSCLES WEIGHTS MORE THAN FAT. SO AS YOUR STRENGTHING YOU ARE LOSING WEIGHT BUT GAINING IT BACK IN MUSCLES.. YOU CAN STILL TALK TO YOUR DR BUT THOUGHT ID SHARE THIS ANYWAY... BEST OF LUCK TO YOU.... IM CONFUSED, LIQUID IS SUPPOSED TO GO RIGHT TRU RIGHT? IM A DRINKER I DRINK ALLOT OF WATER DURING THE DAY BUT SINCE SURGERY ON THE 7TH I CANT SEEM TO GET MORE THAN A COUPLE CUPS DOWN AND I USED TO DRINK 3 LITERS A DAY... IF I DRINK TOO FAST OR TOO MUCH MY CHEST STARTS HURTING AND IT FEELS LIKE WATER OR FLUIDS GETS STUCK? THEN I CANT EAT OR DRINK FOR ABOUT AN HOUR FOR THE PAIN TO DYE DOWN.. I CAN DRINK SMALL DRINKS SPACED OUT AND IM JUST FINE BUT I JUST GET SO DARN THIRSTY AND WANNA CHUG A GALLON OF WATER LOL... AM I JUST DRINKING TOO FAST IF SO ANY SUGESTIONS ON HOW TO SLOW IT DOWN WITHOUT PISSINGT OFF MY NEPHEROLIGIST?

ITS MY KIDNEY DOCTOR I HAVE AN UNUSUAL KIDNEY DISEASE AND HAVE BEEN DR ORDERED TO DRINK 3 LITERS SINCE LIKE 3 YEARS AGO. ITS JUST HARD TO DRINK SLOWLY... WILL I ALWAYS HAVE THIS PROBLEM?

I stared feeling better at about 7 days now all i have now is oops bent over too far! Im day 12 post op now!

Im going in june 7 th and not having so much luck with finding a buddy!

I dont know they wont go away? Iv been trying to figure it out but cant!

I WAS SCARED LAST NIGHT AND IM NOT EATING MUCH CUZ IM AFRAID OF GETTING SICK WHICH I HAVENT AT ALL YET!!! I FIGURE AS LONG AS I TRY MY HARDEST SOME SLIPPS ARE FORGIVABLE!!!! IV DEF CHANGED MY WAY OF THINKING IN THE WHOLE PROSSES SINCE SURGERY!!!

I AM POST OP DAY 9 TODAY AND FIND THAT BY SUPPER TIME MY STOMACH ACHES OF EMPTYNESS... IM ON FULL LIQUIDS NOW BUT HAVE CHEATED A LITTLE... LAST NIGHT I HAD MAYB 2 OZ OF TURKEY AND CHEESE WITH ALVACADO AND TONIGHT I HAD TWO MASHED UP MEAT BALLS FROM SUBWAY... I FEEL GUILTY BUT AT THE SAME TIME IM STILL CONFIDENT BECAUSE IM NOT JUST EATING EVERYTHING I USED TO I MEAN IM PUSHING MY LIMITS NOW BUT IM BEING VERY CAREFULL WITH WHAT IM EVEN THINKING OF EATING ALL THESE FOOD ARE APART OF MY 2ND PHASE OF MY POST DIET AND I START SOFT FOOD IN 4 DAYS.. IM TRYING I AM BUT IT JUST SEEMS TO NOT BE ENOUGH FOR SOME PEOPLE AND THAT HURTS... WHEN IM HUNGRY AND NOT MIND HUNGER ACTUALLY HUNGRY I GET GRUMPY AND SLEEPY I DONT WANT TO B THIS WAY FOR ANOTHER 4 DAY TO MY KIDS... UGH... THANK YOU FOR STARTING THIS TREAD I WAS SO WORRIED I WAS FAILING ALREADY!

My doc said i could crush Tylenol and put it in very little apple sauce and take it that way and have a drink to flush it down good luck!

I cheated three times in my two week pre op still lost 11 lbs and fully admitted my weekness to my surgeon prior to surgery and he giggles and said no one is perfect as long as i tryed my hardest and blow the diet off ill b ok! It gets hard i know but its all what u make of it everyone will make a mistake and slip up dont get hard on your self you dont learn to ride a bike without falling first! Just get up forgive your defeat and move foward! Good luck!

Oh im with ya im a week post and go in for a catscan tomorrow we r thinking i have a clot movin north im extremely short breathed and it very painfull to breathe and tes im not eating on my full liquid either so i just drink n drink! Ur not alone by any means

I was banded 6/7 iv lost 9 lbs!

my band is 100 % plastic i asked cuz i travel allot not you wont buzz my mom also has the band since 03 and we just went to pa in november.... and she didnt buzz at all!!!!

Finally i feel great minus not sleeping all night and pain with deep breaths. I have some energy today not so much gas pain and woke up this morning refreshed! Still have no erg to eat at all! Hope everyone else is having a great day as well!

I had surgery 6/7 and i moved my bowels on day three although i have ibs it wasnt as long as i thought!

I understand too iv been craving crazy things too! But it come to anything i dont really want it lol iv never experienced nausea other than coming out of anesthesia! I got dizzy one doc says it was pain meds they burned going down hated that stuff! I feel fortunate to not have nausea! Best of luck to you tho hope your not rejecting it thats just no good keep me updated k!
