Upon Reaching Goal Weight
Anniesmom12 replied to PaulB's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
wow, I'd like to finally go to Carowinds with my hubby and ride all the coasters...he thinks I'm scared...but really I cant fit in the seats! And some color would be nice... I just looked down and noticed all I ever wear is black...with minimal color in it! -
Upon Reaching Goal Weight
Anniesmom12 replied to PaulB's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
you know i have been big so long I dont know how to think about being a healthy smaller weight! But I suppose a nice new black dress would do the trick for me....a little eye candy for the hubby!! -
It's my day 8 of 14.... doing ok, get a little head hunger when I cook supper for the family....but I dont really wanna eat! Chicken broth is my friend!

Tricare only needs my dr's office to put in the actual date of surgery/admission date and its approved! (Aug 13th)..... just hope I can get the surgery coordinator off her butthole attitude to put it in today and get my approval!! I have had a time with my dr's office since I finished my 3 months of weight loss!

oh I cant wait for that to improve! I am almost to the point of having to get Poise pads!!! Cant wait for it to go away!

I am on day 5 now, its been hard for me, but getting better.... still a little hard....but knowing surgery is right around the corner is worth it!

i am on day 4 of my 2 week liquid... lost 6 lbs so far... it's only protein shakes, jello, broth and puddings..... but thankfully I dont have to go 21 days.... wow! looks like they'd have a pill to shrink our liver for surgery...they have a pill for everything else! Best wishes to you... I am struggling right here with you!

I started my 2 week preop liquids today! I had about 2 weeks from my last weigh in until today so I've eaten all my favorites "for the last time".... as a matter of fact I am so ready for my liquid diet and to get my surgery I cant even think of eating anything else! I can honestly say I am sick of eating! I have been an emotional eater since...well, forever. I have been working on getting things in place to do instead of eat... like walk or exercise. It's working so far. I have slowly put everything in order in my head and house so I am, for the first time in my dieting life, setting myself up for success instead of failure. I am well on my way with this journey, looking forward to a new and much lighter lifestyle in the near future. Thanks to all who post and reply to others...I am reading, taking it in and using all that information to prepare! So... I'm ready!!

Underactive Thyroid Question
Anniesmom12 replied to Anniesmom12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
He was a mean hateful (skinny) butthole of a Dr! I tried EVERYTHING to lose bulk weight... and I lost 65-100 lbs a few times...but always back up...then down...then higher! I have PCOS as well and he wouldnt treat me for that at all....said it was just fat and i'd either lose the weight or live with it. -
Underactive Thyroid Question
Anniesmom12 replied to Anniesmom12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I still have my thyroid .... so was wondering if thyroid function returns after weight loss surgery. My dr has told me since I was 16 (I am now 43) "if you'd lose weight you wouldnt have this thyroid problem"....and I guess I am anxious to see if he was right....or if it remains the same. Thanks for your input! -

Most Embarrassing Moments...
Anniesmom12 replied to dejaseana's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have had two moments I was so embarrassed I could have died... My husband, who is not a small guy...but I do weigh about 100 lbs more than him....and I went to a local movie theater to see a movie he had really been wanting to see... we bought the tickets...went in and I couldnt fit in the seat. So he watched the movie without me while I went and explained to the manager who was nice enough to refund my ticket, I was so hurt that I had to leave my hubby behind!! Then my husband and I went to Carowinds and he had wanted to ride the new rollacoaster...we stood in line for over an hour and a half.... when we got up there I no where near fit in the seat...had to get off in front of hubby and everyone...I could have died! That ride snaps a photo as you go down the first hill, I hung it on our living room wall as motivation for me to get in shape and never miss out on doing things with him again!!. -

One Month Before And After
Anniesmom12 replied to Beachbum's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Wow, you look wonderful!! I am so proud for you!!! And you and i have a lot more in common than I thought!! We even look a little bit alike! I had my hair cut about 3 weeks ago in that same style!! My husband said..."That could be your sister!" LOL Hope you are doing well!! Looking great!! Way to go Mrs. Loser!!! -
I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. I am so afraid that I am going to run in to this same thing with my hubby! His 2 1/2 year old lives with us and I have to be up and getting everyone moving by 530am....then i go to work...then home to do the daily routine..(cook, laundry baths etc) .he doesnt want me to go exercies until the little one is asleep...which is 8pm, I am starting back to school (as a student myself) and will have to do my online classes.... arrrghhhh... I feel your pain!!! I go to bed about 11pm....up between 5-530am. I need about 6 more hours in each a day!!

I have a close friend, well she was until I started my jouney to WLS, who said she was happy for me, wanted me to be sucessful with surgery etc. But the whole time behind my back was telling others that I was just way too big, I couldnt handle doing things the right way that I had to take the easy way out. She and I had a "discussion" about it, just the two of us, and what it came down to was her fear of me not being her friend anymore once I was "skinny".... It was more about how she felt knowing I was finally going to do something about my weight and not just keep going through the same cycles of the "fad" diet, exercise a few days then quit....eat when we were both down, depressed or happy and excited. She felt like I was just tossing her aside, eventhough I never changed anything with her (I havent had surgery yet). So once she and I talked it out everything seems ok. So I think its more that people notice you've lost a lot of weight but their own insecurities make them not compliment you or congradulate you. Just keep a smile and no matter what keep looking in the mirror....cause only you know the true journey you have taken and how much you have lost and how hard you've worked!!
