I noticed that you were banded several years ago. I was told by my surgeon that the latest and greatest Allergan LapBand AP is proving to be a better long term solution than those who received a band years ago. Perhaps you can get a new band???

I take medications daily for anxiety and my thyroid. I had my thyroid removed in 2009 because I had Graves Disease. I need a replacement every day for the rest of my life. They didn't say anything about the lexapro. I will continue to see my endocrinologist to track the prescriptions that he has given me. This did not affect my approval and doesn't seem to be affecting my surgery as I am schedule to go in less than two weeks.

For the almost banded here...what is PB in bandster lingo?

We will be just fine!! I am scheduled on July 10th and I know the nerves are bound to kick in...but right now I am just excited and anxious to start my new life. Remember how you feel everytime you do something that you are miserable doing because of the weight...or how you look in the mirror...or when your doctor gives you yet more bad news about your health? Well think about that and then think about the joy you will have when all of that no longer happens...it is so worth a few days or even a week of pain to get to that healthy person we are on the inside.

The actual EGD took about 45 mins. the prep and discussion with the anethesiologist too the longist! I did mine all before even getting submitted to insurance however.

This is due to the gas they pump into you to fill your cavity...it is very normal for laprascopic surgeries! I have heard that Gas X strips work and definitely get up and move a lot. Get the gas moving and out of your body! I have heard this can last for a few days. You should get better soon...

I am officially scheduled for July 10th!!!! 2 days before my 30th birthday so happy birthday to me!!!!!

I know the feeling! Fortunately I found out that it was actually sent to insurance the day before I left the country for a week or I would have called daily!! I came home to the good news. I have Anthem BC in Ca and it took them 7 days to approve but 11 to let my docs know. So I'd call maybe in a few days!
