Wheres My June Bandsters??
ready4animprovedme replied to mcuevas's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So day two of my 10 day liquid diet... isn't going so well. I cheated yesterday and had some saltine crackers. I feel like I'm starving myself. I'm suppose to have 500-800 calories a day (guessing that comes from protein shakes alone) but I still feel hungry. Which is a duh. On top of being hungry I feel irritable. It's like I have zero control over anything right now. I know it'll all be worth it but getting to that point is tough. -

So, I have a deductible of $350.00. I have met that. Insurance pays 80% and I am to cover the remaining 20%. Well I have a co-insurance of $2000 but due to doctor visits and other things I have it down to about $1200. Well I called to get an estimate on how much I'd owe and they told me $2200, which I don't think is right. I have Aetna. I'm wondering if they're just assuming that without looking in to MY particular insurance? There is financing available through the hospital but before I can get information from them I have to find out how much I'll be responsible for. I personally do not have $1200 lying around and with surgery approaching, not having things figured out is stressing me out to say the least.

Insurance Can Be Tricky
ready4animprovedme replied to ready4animprovedme's topic in Insurance & Financing
That is 100% true. It isn't so much based on the insurance company as much as it's based on your place of employment. Don't explode! -

To Tell Or Not To Tell That You've Had Lapband Surgery Or Wls(Weight Loss Surgery)
ready4animprovedme replied to lafaye999's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've told my family, closest friends, as well as some co-workers. Most of them know my struggle with weight and the overall response has been very positive. Can't say I'll run down the street shouting it but it isn't a secret for me. -

Ahh yes, that doesn't sound too bad. Although, I do need to figure out what I'm going to have during that time. I'd assume that planning it out helps -

500-600 calories. Mostly liquids and Protein Shakes. I can have lean cuts of meat if I begin to feel dizzy I would have to agree, the fear alone is enough for me! -

Found Out Friday That I Got The Approval From The Insurance Co.
ready4animprovedme posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm so exicted, anxious, scared, happy and everything in between. The 6 month physician supervised diet was probably the longest 6 months of my life. I'm in the early stages of my surgery process but I'm hoping to have it done within the next month! I'm ready to start this new chapter Ashley
