So excited!! SW:396 Day of Surgery:380. Today:359. I was sleeved on the 15th of May. I haven't been able to walk due to my weight and bad knees but I've been released to swim:). Never been so excited about shaving my legs and getting into a swimsuit!! If people don't like what they see God made necks to turn! LOL!!! Bring on the exercise!!!

So before the sleeve I craved sweets and carbs in general. Today I'm craving dill picke juice or cucumbers in vinegar and oil. I admit to taking a swig out of the ole pickel jar. I had my sleeve on 5-15-2012 and my stomach is just a tad upset. Anybody else craving strange stuff?

bcullen1: I struggle with getting in the fluids to. Hang in there girl you are not alone. I hate having to wait an hour after you eat to drink something. People who think this surgery is the easy way out must be smoking crack, cause its NOT!!

Thank you so much for the reply. I'm a week out and seem like I can take in more then everyone else. I'm scared and do not want to fail!!

I just ate a entire can of broth no problem but very slowly. Feel full not stuffed. I thought we were not able to take in that much. Please tell me it's because it's a slider. I wonder if my sleeve is working. I'm freaking out!

G2 Gatorade was a life saver for me, as well as Campbell's chicken noodle Soup (broth only). I've found using a baby spoon really helps you slow down. And remember SIP not gulp or you will have discomfort. The more you walk the better you will feel. Lose clothes and PJ's so they do not rub your staples is helpful to.

St.Alexius was wonderful!! My surgeon was Dr. Follwell. Going back to work in a week is do able as long as you have no complications or a job where you do heavy lifting. I've lost 11pds since Tuesday! I'm very excited. Are you nervous at all? You will do great!!!!

I had my surgery on 5-15 at St. Alexius. What's up??

Girl you are doing awesome!!!! Just think, you have lost three 10pd bag of potatoes!!!! That's wonderful!! Focus on your healthy eating and eventually it WILL come off. Maybe you are developing muscle and toning up. Remember the non-scale victories!! The worst thing all of us sleevers can do is start comparing ourselves to one another. You got this!!! I will say a prayer for ya!!!

I just realized I was supposed to be taking Prilosec. I went and bought some and am starting it tomorrow. I don't think I'm eating to fast. It took me 30 min to get down 3oz and I'm using a baby spoon to make sure I'm not taking big bites.

I started the post-op protien shake part of my regime as doctor stated. I had 3 oz of muscle milk and have a lump in my throat. Am I taking in to much? It's my first day. It's a miserable feeling. Any advice welcome!!!

I was sleeved three days ago. I weighed in at 396 and am now 374. I need to loose 200 pds and I'm nervous. Once you fail so many times you start wondering....will this work. I freaked out because I ate a no-sugar added fudge cicle and realized it wasn't sugar free. Geez....lots to learn but I'm going to do it. I'm a little sore and tired but I think I'm going to enjoy my sleeve!! Good Luck everyone!!

The bad thing is that my body has reacted badly and I cannot get far away from the bathroom.

I get the sleeve on the 15th. I'm from Missouri, 42 yrs old, 5''8 and 380 pounds! Did I just admit that? I guess I know that I will never be this weight again!! SO happy!! Good Luck everybody!!

Stop the Metamucil it will harden in your gut and make your blockage worse. Keep up with the mag citrate until you **** clear. Sometimes it takes awhile to get 12pds of stool moving. It can be like pushing out a boulder through a straw. It takes time to break up. We use this a lot on our hospice patients and have great success. Sometimes it just takes awhile. Remember to drink lots of Water. Good Luck!
