You don't have malabsorption with the sleeve. You should take a multi vitamin everyday, whether you have a full stomach or 1/4 of one.

    Need You Input Now!

The diet should be no carb. Unless there is like 3-4 in the shake. Should be <30 carbs a day. He will feel crappy and hungry and grouchy and drained and testy.... But it's a small price to pay

    The Horror Stories *sensitive*

This is the scary reality of things. BUT it's rare. I work in a hospital that does 15 a week (that isn't including lap bands) and it does happen but not often and most is because of a weight related issue prior to surgery

  12. Ask ur surgeon or pcp or nut. Find someone good!
  13. Our bodies were not meant to have drinks with food. But it washes food down, fills you more, doesn't make it last as long. It keeps that dense protein in stomach longer and therefore- you're less hungry longer. Listen to your NUT, not your gut... I know listening to my body got me to 273 lbs
  14. It can irritate the sleeve a bit, so like anything else new- take it slow n easy
  15. Sweetie- remember you did just have a major surgery. Relax a bit, walk up and down your road, lounge around, watch tv- get the fluids in. Do walk around- but don't push it
  16. You can set ur goal to whatever u want! Stupid dr. I think your goal is appropriate, practical and achievable. It is up to you to hit it, and I have every confidence you will!

I was sleeved 5/21 and I find myself hungry. I am on full liquids. Do you think it's just the liquids sliding through? I can drink like 1 c of. Fluids at a time and 1/2 c of soup and I do them every 1- 11-2 hours. It just seems like a lot to me...
