Seeking VSG
Medicare does not approve of this bariatric procedure.
Secondary insurance, United Healthcare will no approve because they follow Medicare guidelines now that I'm a Medicare subscriber.
Local hospital/surgeon = $20K+
Tijuana, Mexico adverrtises $4K but wouldn't consider it.
Hospital in suburb of New Orleans is certified Bariatric Excellence and will do VSG for $12K. Am considering.
Negative to having the procedure done in Louisiana is follow-up would be a problem so far from Washington, DC
Waiting and hoping Medicare will approve VSG.
