I'm at a ballpark and I ate a soft pretzel. All by myself. Over an hour. Why did I do that? It wasn't necessarily delicious... I wasn't necessarily hungry Five months out and still mess up. And I even know that "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"

Thanks everyone! I feel better already! Next time I'm sneaking in something healthy in my purse!

Is depression a side effect of the sleeve surgery? My mother suffers from depression in general and has been taking medications for it and has been doing pretty well. She got sleeved this past Wednesday and since the surgery she has been very depressed. Any ideas? Suggestions?

So does the sleeve generally help depression?

Galbladder Symptoms>?
kmbrlycool replied to Shape_Shifter's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm post op and I am having gallbladder problems... Having my gallbladder out soon. My symptoms were super sharp painful pains in the center of my chest right below my rib cage. Would come on suddenly. Would get clammy and hot and sweaty. The pain would/could last for hours. I have to take a heavy duty painkiller to help it. Consult with surgeon tomorrow to remove gallbladder I am five Months post op and have been having pain for 2 months. I have a stone (5.6 mm) and sludge. -
I agree. It took me to about 100 pound loss before I started to really notice. I had a 5x and feel I can still wear it and look fine but I also can wear some 2xs

Absolutely not. Don't do it. -
Congratulations! That is great! My menstrual cycle has been normal since surgery as well... Was very abnormal before hand... And I even bled for three months straight at one point.

Gallbladder Difficulties
kmbrlycool replied to Ms skinniness's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 4.5 months out and have been having pain for about two months. Have had tons of tests (including going under anesthesia twice) and they finally found a gallstone. I have to have my gallbladder out. The pain is unbearable, unless I catch it in time and take a heavy duty painkiller. -
You can do it! Keep your eye on the goal!

Unsatisfied Around That Time Of The Month
kmbrlycool replied to kelliecalgary's topic in The Gals' Room
I get very hungry around the time of month... And I can consume more. I also don't feel satisfied. Has happened every month since surgery. And I stall a little during my period. Then I get over it. I try not to worry about it too much. -
48 Pounds Lost And I Am The Only One Who Notices?
kmbrlycool replied to Lucabelle1313's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have had a mostly Positve experience telling most people. I found that telling my coworkers actually took a lot of pressure off of me... And when they see me eating strange... They know why and don't question me. Perhaps I just work with a lot of good people (social workers). They would occasionally joke with me and ask me what I was having for lunch... A Water sandwich? But that was funny to me. Don't get me wrong... I have experiences some annoying things... Like a few select people are always asking me how much I have lost and what can I eat now... Asking me several times a week But most people are very supportive and positive -

I just had a horrible pain attack again. This is when i get pain by the bottom of my rib cage in the middle. Horrible deep feeling pain. Didn't go to hospital but took a heavy duty pain killer after i had the pain for 15 minutes. Took a solid hour to work. Was in complete agony. On a scale of 1-10 it got to an 8. I was hot and sweaty. Was pacing around the house. Wanted to cry my eyes out. Nothing I did helped. No way of laying... Or stretching. Ice pack didn't reduce pain. But just made me less hot. Now I am loopy from pain killer. Also have neck and shoulder pain. Still don't know what the f**k this is from. Didnt eat anything stupid or strange either. Seeing GI doctor on Wednesday. If they have even the slightest feeling it might be my gallbladder I want the fucker taken out. This is the fourth time I've had pain and it was absolutely horrible. (went to ER three times for this). Just to recap I've had a cat scan, EKG, blood test, urine test, X-ray, and ultrasound. Ive been to my gastric surgeon and my primary doctor, not to mention the three different ER doctors. The only thing that was found was gallbladder sludge an a polyp in my gallbladder... Which they say wouldn't cause this pain. They all have no idea what this is all about. I'm praying the GI doctor an figure this out. I do a lot of driving for work and see my clients throughout the month (I'm a social worker) so having this pain while I'm at work (which thankfully hasn't happened yet) is just not an option for me. One of my biggest fears is that I will get it at work... I would take a painkiller because there is just no other way to deal... But that would mean I would have to take sick time... And just lay in my car for several hours... No way I can drive on this medication. Sorry for the foul language. Just stressed out. I know I've posted about this pain before... But if anyone has any ideas or similar experiences.... Please please help! Thank you Btw. I am now three months and 5 days out of surgery and I've lost 91 pounds (although been in a stall for a week now due to my period). Went from a 5x and just today I fit in a 3x!

Update On My Pain...
kmbrlycool replied to kmbrlycool's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Update* I had another procedure this morning to check out my gallbladder. My sludge has turned into a stone and I need to have my gallbladder out. That's what has been causing the pain. -
Ok so I'm losing a lot of hair and I want to make it less noticeable. I heard somewhere that if I were to cut it very short that it would be less noticeable. Suggestions? Right now I have shoulder length hair and I put it up into a messy bun every day as I don't like it in my face... These are both recent pictures of me. The one is to show my face up close. And the other one in the black and white shirt it to show you where it looks like my hair is very thin What will look good on me? pictures and suggestions would be great! What have you done when losing hair? Thanks

Eating Quickly W No Side Effects
kmbrlycool replied to doxieville's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I try to eat slow but I barely do. I know if I eat too fast I can very easily overeat... And then I don't feel good -
The other day at work a woman who I hadn't seen in months walked right past me and then came back and said hi and that she didn't even recognize me at first! Then today at a family BBQ everyone made it a point to tell me how great I looked! Down 110 pounds in 4.5 months The weight loss is slowing down... And I've encountered a few stalls... I think three. But I've gotten through them Silly me at today's BBQ I had like 8 ritz crackers and a spoonful of relish and three chunks of pineapple. I thought I was fine... But I ended up in the bathroom for a little... Note to self... Don't mess with crackers or pineapple again! But all in all a good day

Just eating what I am supposed to. I do a little exercise... Although I should be and hope to do more Plus I started at 375 which was very high... I think the higher the weight the more you lose at first
