Can you try a stool softener or some milk of magnesia? Also there is this tea called smooth move that really does the trick!

kah1213 replied to Sombra1718's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If I'm being honest, I haven't done a thing (yet). I feel I've been eating like a crazy person lately. But I am determined to get it together and do liquid diet before surgery. I think you'll be ok. -

Lap Band With Gastric Plication
kah1213 replied to Calamity Jane's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok so to those who've had the surgery, is the weight loss in the beginning faster (than with just the band alone)? What's been your experience in the first month or 2 after surgery? I need something to look forward to and set some goals for myself. (my surgery is in 2 weeks) -

My doc was so busy, I had to wait 6 weeks for my first appointment. It felt like 6 years. Now here I am ready to have surgery before end of month!
-
I feel same way. I have 2.5 weeks to go and it can't come soon enough. In fact, I find myself eating MORE lately...a lot of 'final' meals (I know that's not good!)

Is losing 10 pounds per month a good goal for those with banded plication? I'm still not sure about the rate of weight loss. I know it's faster in the beginning with the plication. Anywho... I want to set up some goals--- I'm being banded with plication May 30. I have my birthday in July and a 10K race in September. I'd love to be at least 40 pounds down by the race but I just don't know what's realistic. Thanks for listening!!

5'4 Whats Your Goal Weight?
kah1213 replied to JanellesMommy8210's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm almost 5'6" and I was 145 for a short time in college. I'd love to be back there! Realistically my 1st goal is 155 and then we'll see what happens.
