Nope. Your doc may have you on liquids after your fill, but every doc is different. You don't usually have to do anything before.

Hi everyone! I have been reading a lot of you guys saying that chicken was the culprit of some serious stuck incidents. Well, you all were right! I am 1 month post op and had some chicken tonight. I got stuck and suffered in pain for 45 min. I thought I knew what stuck felt like...but I guess I really didn't. Anyway, I'm ok now and just resting. That was so crazy. I'm still surprised that chicken did that to me, but I'm glad it happened to me at home and not at the office or in public!! It just goes to show that you think you know, but you have no idea until it happens to you!

I was told to stop birth control pill 10 days before surgery. I was able to resume about 2 weeks after surgery.

I stayed 1 night in the hospital and I'm glad I did. I took 4 days off..surgery on Tuesday and back at work Monday.

After about a week I was able to sleep in any position.

Agree. My doc is happy with at least 5 lb loss per month. I know we all want it to happen more quickly but 1-2 lbs a week is perfect.

I had mild port pain like my an muscle was still healing for about 2.5 weeks. I'm 1 month post op and have zero pain now. Good luck.

I was allowed to walk as much as I wanted but nothing else for the first month. I'm just 1 month post surgery and I worked out with the trainer yesterday!

Good luck at your appointment on Monday. Ask lots of questions!

Hi! I'm 1 month post op and doing well. Amazed how I'm full on such smaller portions especially compared to before surgery. I got my first fill last week. I can definitely feel food moving from the pouch to the lower stomach--glad the the stomach overall is smaller with the plication!. My birthday is in 3 weeks do I have another (lofty) goal of losing 10 more lbs by then. Hope everyone is doing well!

I am 1 month post op. I had my first fill on Wednesday. They gave me 1 cc which they told me is standard for a first fill. I was on soft food for 2 days. I feel more restriction, but I've heard sometimes it can take several weeks to take effect. Good luck on Monday!

I'm in NYC. I went to dr Garber in new York bariatric group.

Sometimes weight fluctuates a lot day to day due to water retention etc. could that be it?

It's totally normal to have those feelings. Use this first month as a time for healing. Don't worry about weight loss. It will come off soon enough. I was banded 1 month ago.

It hurts. You'll know immediately!
